Yah, I get the theory, but not sure it would make sense, or really provide any change unless you are WOT alot

Have you had any issues yet with your steering on the 37’s? Reason I ask is because I’ve already replaced tie rods twice on the left side with my 35’s. Going to be on a superduty axle up front soon so it won’t be an issue anymore, but was just wondering.

Nope. I’ve had the 37’s for about 8k and around 5k with 35’s before that. Not a lot of miles, but with the ones I have I haven’t had any issues with anything.

The 35’s probably had 500 or so off road miles and the 37’s around 100.

Hmm, I just had to replace the LBJ on the left front too. I’m wondering if it was just bad for longer than I thought and was causing issues.

Hmm. Mine’s long travel so I don’t have the same ball joint issues. Steering is basically factory outside of some extenders. I’m fairly careful off road so I’m sure that might have something to do with it too.

Well well well, Merry Xmas to all y’all. Been lurking around for about 2yrs & finally signed up to the forums. Figured I should go ahead and use my first post to say, I went ahead and ordered up the OVTune kit (#3690) to flash tune a 2019 OR DC LB truck I plan on purchasing next month :woot:

Much easier to just plug in your laptop, open PCM flash, and press “reset DTCs”

Most buy it after they realize their truck sucks at driving! You’re buying it before you even know your $40k truck sucks!

I destroyed two LBJs and a steering gear on 32’s even with aftermarket UCA’s. I was running about 2.5 of lift. Geometry is everything on IFS. Anything over 2” on our 3GENs make steering components wear out extremely quick.

I'm running 3.75" of lift. With aftermarket UCA's. On a 3rd Gen. Been on it for years. Haven't destroyed anything yet.

Anyone else getting the idle surge with the latest 1.05 files? I updated mine with the original 1.05 91 file and I didn't have the idle surge. I only updated to the newest 1.05 91 file because Mat recommended it and now have a crazy idle surge. I'm going to email Matt today, but just wondering if it's just me.

I've read a couple people have had success with flashing to 1.05 AFTER the engine is at operating temperature.

I am still experiencing idle fluctuations on newest 1.05 calibration. It’s not as bad as original 1.05, but noticeably there. I have emailed Mat my TS logs of the event, but have not heard back.

Idle on my truck only fluctuates when the truck is warm. I performed flash & idle learn procedure after truck had been driven a while and was at operating temp.

I'll give that a try when I get home from work, but the new files were supposed to fix that.

I've never been a test truck. I just have the dongle setup.

I was looking over the TS logs at idle and noticed ignition swings from 9 - 32 deg during idle fluctuation. I would assume this is not normal.

When I programmed the first time it was after a long drive and idle was really smooth. This last time I let it warm up for about 10 minutes, but maybe it wasn't hot enough. My idle is crazy at times.

Getting a shift dance with 05 just easing into the freeway.

    2-3 3-4 4-3 3-4-5 5-4 4-5-6 6-5-6.

That going from a left turn up a freeway on ramp to 65 with consistent throttle pressure of I’d say 15-20%.

I see this around town between 40-50 as well.

Is this something that can be fixed? I’ve duplicated this multiple times.

Yes, but remember your truck has a weird thing going on with the tables I've not seen on any other trucks
