    Oh I'm sure that re-gearing or adding another reduction box would probably alleviate most if not all of this stuff lol.

    Even having an additional 2:1 reduction would be amazing. The cool thing is, it would add so much flexibility to the truck.

    Don't like the shitty reverse ratio when backing up a trailer or a boat? Problem solved. No need to use 4low (the way I understand it)

    Anyway, pipe dreams lol. My house needs money thrown at it way more than my truck does ;)

    There needs to come a time however, when the A/T gets "polished" and done. M/T has never really had the level of R&D that the A/T enjoys. I understand fully why Mat chose to put most of his efforts in that direction. It is true, that's the lion's share of his business - and let's face it: your bi-polar auto fucktardery boxes need all the help they can get.
    The M/T needs help as well, and believe it or not that will require a proper test mule. Mat cannot feel what the truck is doing by pouring over a log file. Every bit of weirdness in the throttle, power delivery, and nonsense such as surging and stuttering can be felt acutely through the drivetrain.
    AS you and others have said, the way to be heard is to shout in here.
    My $770 is NOT worth less than yours.

    You JUST said DFCO provides engine braking, now you are saying it doesn’t.



    Here’s the full post explaining it from Matt. When the valves aren’t closing due to many things toyota did, there is no cylinder pressure, thus no engine braking.



    Like frank just said, its very noticeable on the manual. Coast up to a stop sign, RPM drops below 1500 RPM and the truck feels like it just let go. There’s a lot of unpredictability that you can feel without the slushbox in the way mask what the motor is actually doing.

    That makes at least two of us that remember.

    The engine does lots of funky things. Some of those things you can’t feel with the slushbox in the way.

    If you’re in a manual, “coasting to a stop” implies that, then clutch in or neutral is often called “free wheeling”.

    1>2 shift has been slightly adjusted, improved.
    4>5 shift has been improved above 40mph.
    @ exactly, or very close to 40mph the transmission can still, depending on your right foot, dance between 4th and 5th gear. This is entirely dependent on your foot.

    4th gear hang has also been adjusted further for the highway.

    So, from this point we are moving forward to release to everyone.
    I understand that for some trucks that are highly modified, your tune may need adjustments.
    I understand that some trucks, depending on weight (for required accel to maintain speed or accelerate) may still hang in 4th gear longer than expected depending on rate of acceleration. Custom tuning will be necessary
    I understand that for some trucks, depending on tire and gear sizing, your shift schedule may need adjustment. ( like Commbubbas whose truck is so far out in left feild on shift points)


    So, with that, If you fall into any category above, once we are to move forward with customize tuning with 1.05 you need to submit a ticket/ email for that. Not submit a post on the forum.

    Never heard of free wheeling to be honest, but ya that is kind of my point. Even Coasting to a stop between manual and AT is going to create some interpretation issues

    Yes you can downshift these things to 1st.

    Can we put a test in front of the file download? You need to pass before you get the tune.

    If my truck weighs 6,000 lbs will I need custom tuning?
    If I have issues what should I do?
    If I want something adjusted what should I do?
    If I’m running larger tires, will I need custom tuning?
    What is the flashing procedure?
    How long should you idle after flashing?
