Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Just another reason for the On all the time mod.

 

If I didn't see the light on the dash, I'd do it.

 

I still think my truck feels awesome. Mine is an MT though so I don't know the extent of any learning that it does. This tune is still in the very early stages so it will get better.

 

I did turn ECT mode on which of course was much better than without it. I will be towing the travel trailer at the end of this week so we will see how that goes. Just to clarify I am in for the long hall (no pun intended) with OVTune and I am sure improvements will be made.

 

I really think the learning thing is going to make or break the long term satisfaction with this tune.

 

He's testing letting it run 4-5 learning things versus the stock 16

If they are so simple then it probably would be pretty easy for you to do?

I would definitely be interested for my 2nd gen.

Just pulled the trigger on this after reading every post. It's either the time improved this things driveabilty or possibly putting it up for sale, and that is not at all what I'm after! Quirkiest manual I've ever owned, looking forward to the improvements and working with OV and all of y'all through out this progression.

 

that was me. i jumped through firy hoops to get this thing to drive right. used to use the Pedal Commander. it helped enough so i didn't need to sell the truck. and this is better than that and still more improvements in the pipeline. you'll be happy I'm sure.

 

Definitely makes me look forward to getting it loaded, I drive the truck very seldom so when I do it's definitely a bit of a crappy reminder of how much it's not a friendly driving truck. I will say it has more power than my 15 unlimited wrangler 6mt on 35s an my Tacoma is on 34s but absolutely pulls much harder as is, so this tune will be a blessing I'm sure.

I had the same error and it was a driver issue. I re-installed the driver and it read just fine.

 

Is your car on?

Happened to me too. realized I didn't turn the power on...

how long did it take everyone to get their ecu calibration file after you sent off the ECU bin file?? Been waiting a few hours now after a few immediate responses earlier

 

Car is on. Let me reinstall the driver.
