I would be curious to have experienced this for myself as one of my frustrations with this truck is exactly this. I hate how the truck doesn’t shift when say going down a hill to coast and instead it stays in that lower gear and decelerates rather than just cruises. I’m sure there are times when people would absolutely love this and times where you may not but it would be something to be able to try out to see if you like or have as an option especially for better gas mileage.

Update for today. 105 91 octane D mode ect on all day.

    126 miles 8.55 gallons = 14.74 mpg.

70 to 80mph in the morning and then a little stop and go in the afternoon.

Trucks holds 5 and 6th better in ect on my truck. I’ll try S 5 /6 and ect next.

How am I getting such better mileage? I have a softopper, lo-pro bumper, winch, sliders, 255/75/17 tires (34psi). Do you think a hard canopy is making that big of difference?

You're getting worse mileage than I was getting on my armored up '09 supercharged gen2 with a Snugtop Supersport, winch, bumpers, skids, etc. Have you had your alignment checked?

Edit - I was on an Icon lift, dakars and 33's

Yes. I’m getting 17-19 in my morning city commute with some stopping and some aggressive driving

But even on the freeway it doesn’t fall below 19 unless it’s all uphill

I use Lucas injector cleaner once every other month during an empty tank fill up

I dont have 1.05 yet but every tune including the stock tune if i can keep it under 65MPH it gets great MPG's but anything over drops rapidly. This motor and trans seems to have a sweet spot under 65.

Makes sense. I’m doing Portland to Boise next year around June so that will be an honest one whole tank test for the first half

Yes. Skinny tires make a difference. The shell and the added wind resistance from the two awnings and solar panel. I might take the rack, awnings, and solar off for a test drive too for comparison.

I really like 105. It is miles ahead of the factory tune or 102, 103, or 104 or 104r.
The pull on the low end in 1st,2nd, and 3rd is great.

You're the 2nd person today I've heard say that helps. I'm gonna have to get on board.
Just add it to a new tank of fuel? Can I get it at any gas station?
