Hmmm, first the railroad comment, got a good friend who works on the track crew in our area. Totally believe you on the hours you work, but also know he had to get a bigger back-up battery to keep his phone charged during his down time waiting for rights to repair track sections & such, sends me texts all the time, so a quick search is probably possible for you. Second, 58 years old here, work 60+ a week, plus a home based side job and still find the time to search for answers before having a meltdown, no pity for you there. I recommend Geritol Complete at your advanced age, those energy drinks you're sucking down aren't working apparently & are making you a little touchy.

 

So when the news broke that 1.05 would be out before Christmas, I lined up a boat load of errands, chores, and tasks to be done between Christmas and New Years so that I could enjoy 1.05, including 200 miles worth of driving yesterday. Well, I'm about to leave to complete the last thing I planned and I've done it all without 1.05. Can't say I'm not disappointed, but I'm also still excited for when I finally get my email.

Perhaps some of you have been able to do it already, but I have failed miserably at ignoring advertised release dates for things on here and allowing my mind to form expectations... only to be disappointed. I'm not taking anything away from the effort Mat is putting in (because I'm sure it is more effort than anything i've done over the past couple months), but having been here for a while (subjective), I can't recall a single time things have happened as advertised. You think I would know better by now.

 

I need to log it, but I feel like it’s too big of an RPM jump to be the TC unlocking.

 

Did you see what happened when we did start releasing before Christmas? This has been being released since before christmas..
We had the idle issue fixed quite quickly,
I dont like this, I don't like this, what about this, that, etc.

Should we release a version that a lot of people find issues with just to get it out quicker? I don't think so.
Especially since the very first place people come when they even have a tiniest issue, is right here on the forum.
There are people who are still posting about shift dance, idle issues, etc but have not even updated yet, even after they are aware the new files exist.


Not to mention the people who go out of their way to TRY to find problems. I've noticed it in these posts, quite obviously because some things they are complaining about as an "issue" 100% exists on stock tune and the TSB version tune. Like literally identical but it's a "new" issue now.

Like people still complaining about the shift dancing. Just ignore when we say hey your truck will likely need some shift tables changed if you have XYZ mods, I mean it literally does not matter what I say or don't say, I've come to that conclusion already.

 

yep, i've yet to install the latest 1.05 ver 3 final. So i'm just reading other's posts right now until i have time and put mileage on it.

 

mine does the same. also seems to short shift 3rd (only holds the gear for a few hundred rpm before going to 4th) , and also locks the converter right after shifting into 3rd (has a rpm change 1-200 rpm after it shifts.).

going to drive it more to see if it settles only put about 25 miles on it on back country roads..

it doesn't do this under heavy or moderate acceleration.. only normal diving.

I'll need to figure out how to data log.

 

Have a question for you.
Is your truck stock?

Does it have gears?
Does it have larger tires?
Larger wheels?

 

I realize that sounded like a knock. I apologize. My intent was not to offend you. Like you said, much of the issues behind the delays were not something you could control. But the reality is, whether it was your fault or not, dates have repeatedly been missed and has led to personal disappointment. That's a personal observation and something that I failed to control. My fault.

You have every right to be disappointed, I just want you and everyone to understand are outside of my control sometimes, and other times it can almost certainly be blamed on people who come to this thread to post stuff purely to rile people up. I'm starting to see it because it's the same people again and again.

 

Yeah... me too. Just like you, I’m waiting for things to clam down, any remaining little issues to surface and get resolved, then make the purchase. This thead is entertaining as hell tho... like a bunch of preschoolers waiting for Christmas (Mat timed this release perfect) -lol
