FO91. Like it a lot more than the MA tuned.

 

I did not get this error, but I do have a HU that uses OBD2 communication, so I disabled it before I started. There was a post from someone else that had unsuccessful flashes until he did the same thing. Worth mentioning..

 

Did you install the tractix openport 2.0 drivers?

 

And disabled anti-virus (or created an exception)?

 

I think you meant to reply to @Marbleyard .. But since you asked, I actually did forget to install the Tactrix drivers initially, but it didn't make the app crash out. It just left the "Interface" window blank.

 

I should have it updated, my name is now next to my register number, I assume this is confirmation. I may try turning off the virus scan but I’m updating windows first to see if that’s the snag.

I had to turn off windows defender and Norton.Worked perfectly after that....

 

OBD2 is a the data communication protocol our trucks (and most other vehicles) use. Lots of newer audio head units have a harness that uses OBD2 data to display gauges, tire pressure, etc. Apparently, it can interfere with the flash software's ability to communicate.

 

I turned off everything I think could be blocking it (haven’t tried windows defender) computer wouldn’t download new windows 8.1. Went out and tried again. Still same error. I will let it win this battle and come back to fight again later.

 

I'm windows 10 and it's up to date. I just assumed the logger was broken for everyone, and a working version of something or another was provided by OV when he needed logging done. I guess I'll just leave the logging to others willing to help.

 

Install these drivers and try again

The box to the right of the word interface should have the tractix adapter selected.

 

I had the same issue after the windows update. I reinstalled openport software and it worked.

 

@OVTune intersting observation. I flashed 1.05 87 about 400 miles ago. Worked/ran perfect from the start. The tank was full of 93 oct. This morning I flashed 1.05 93. Tank still filled with 93. Immediately rpm acting up. On 1.05 87 idle was 500 to 550 and stable. On 1.05 93 the idle swings from 600 to 1000 rpm. After 20 miles it is 600 to 900. I’ll put a few hundred more miles on it to see if it learns it’s was out of it and report back. Hope this info has some use.

 

If I may be so presumptuous, I speak for all the MT owners. Just have the MT tune ready by Jan 11th.

Just downloaded new OV Tune 1.05 - 91 octane to Tacoma successfully. I was running the OV Tune 1.04 - 91 octane and 7825 miles on that tune with very minimal problems.

Gonna see how the new tune works for my needs and report back at a later date.
