I had no idea such a thing existed. I was hoping it was an app that was available for the Entune system...

If you haven’t received your order yet, does that mean you will have to wait for the 1.05 file to be sent after your register his or hers OVTune software?

Yeah it opens up a door to a whole lot of things by reading your ECU and allowing you to change truck settings. Oh and the added sound improvements and waze and CarPlay is great. Makes me wonder how I managed with Entune for my first 3 months

Ok I am dumb, but what is an accumulator? Does my A/T have one?

I’m having an issue with my truck it’s most likely not tune related but since there is a lot of of ppl here that have more experience than me. So I pulled my hand brake on my truck at 15 mph and it locked up and didn’t release untill i shut off and restarted the truck. And now it does it constantly and when I shut it off and turn it back on it stops then does it again. I was just being an idiot and messing with the hand brake

What are the issues regarding using sprintbooster in combination with 1.05? While the tune makes shifting butter smooth, id like a little more getup in the low end. Drove with sb for a year and was happy with the pedal response it offers

The accumulator is a device installed between the master and slave cylinder on our hydraulic clutches. Nope, only M/T.

I'm not sure what the intent of that device was, but the clutch is better without it.

I've got about 40 miles in on 1.05 - 91 so far. I'm 04B04 also. No idle issues to report yet, seems fine. Shifts are definitely different. I would say I feel them more, but in a positive way. It seems more pronounced, but faster shifts with less RPM drop. I have always had a 2-1 downshift clunk-lunge on the first couple of stops in the morning. Today was much less of a clunk and lunge. However, it was also 57 degrees out at 6am. Usually in the 20s around here so the trans would be warmer today so can't determine anything yet.

I can see where some guys would complain about it getting up to 4th too quick, but I think its more of the context or situational. For example, on the on ramp this morning I was accelerating fine until you catch up to all the other people that think doing 45 is sufficient to merge with people doing 75. Somehow you slow down near the top of the on ramp. I was in 4th or possibly even 5th and needed some extra pedal to downshift again. Not the trucks fault since it couldn't be prepared for how I should drive, but instead how I had to drive. My old trailblazer had some situational things like this too. You would start moving from a stoplight behind other traffic and right when it tried to do the 1-2 shift I would have to let off the gas because somehow there would be a slow down in accelerating in a line of cars and get a huge pause in the shift. It was all a timing issue and situational. An auto trans can't really know you still need to be in a lower gear, but just pausing for now.

I was a little freaked out when I let off the gas doing 80 and did not start to slow down. I was like wtf is going on and then remembered we have coasting now. Worked great. Also hardly a downshift to handle the rolling hills of Kansas City. This is sarcasm. The hills are realistically pathetic, but in stock form had to lose speed, keep pressing the pedal, then downshift and go. Not the case. It felt great this morning. I was able to maintain speed just fine. So far I'm happy. Obviously need to log a lot more miles, but hadn't seen any initial impression reviews for many pages. I wish I was not at work and could go drive some more.

found out the truck when going downhill with cruise set will automatically downshift to hold itself back and reduce speed. (engine braking) very cool.

not sure if it did this stock, or matt added it.

since before , cruise in the mountains was unthinkable.

    but now with 1.05 it's a joy

It did this stock as well but was totally unusable, as you are probably aware. Ive used CC extensively this weekend and its a joy to use now!

Edit: 1.05 (lastest drop from ovtunes site) on 93

Nope. Holding out slim hope that someone like me found it - I once dropped a wallet in the mail to the address on the included driver's license. In the meantime, all the cards have been deactivated and a new DL is on order.

Flashed 1.05 91 last night when I got home after filling up with 93, 91 not available around here. Get ready to go for first test drive this morning, open up the garage door. Roads are solid ice.

When you guys go from 1.05 91 -> 87, do you need to flash back to stock, then to 87? Or can you simply go straight to 87 from 91? Also, in regards to changing fuel from 92 (currently running). Will 1.05 87 run just fine on 87 (typically only use Chevron), or does it need to be an octane number higher than the current tune? My truck does not seem to like the higher octane for some reason. Both pre and post 1.05 I went to 92 octane and didn't see any improvement in drivability or MPG. So, would rather save the money and go back to 87 if possible. Thanks.

More feedback on shift smoothness and 'clunking.' With my truck (stock DCLB 4x4), on 1.04 the coasting downshift from 2nd to 1st was noticeably firm but not really a 'clunk.' Didn't bother me, but I could tell it was there. On 1.05 it's completely gone. Cool.

For me the most noticeable "clunk improvement" from 1.04 to 1.05 is the way the transmission manages drivetrain backlash at low speeds. On 1.04 (not 1.04r - I did not do the TSB) accelerating after slowing to ~10 mph always caused a pronounced clunk, similar to what a manual transmission drivetrain would do in the same situation if you kept your foot off the clutch. With 1.05, that clunkiness is completely gone. Whatever torque converter fanciness Mat did to smooth that transition out is much appreciated!

That's pretty good considering you seem to have bigger/heavier tires. High altitude could also pose a problem but someone with stock or near stock wheels could probably do it.

I was able to without OV but with the lastest TSB, however it was on a slight incline highway.
