Yeah, looks pretty useless alright
I've hauled a gun safe, pallet of concrete, pallet of tile, motorcycle, 16' lumber on my roof rack, fence panels, kayaks, canoes. And that's not even mentioning what I've hauled in trailers. (Bass boat, gravel, camper, pontoon boat)
    Useless...

Haha, this reminds me of the Nike/Bo Jackson commercials from the 80s. Bo knows concrete, Bo knows kayaks, Bo knows gun safes ...

Seriously though, I'm a long bed owner because I use it, but your point is well taken. However long your bed, it's all about mindset. If the bed isn't long enough, drop the tailgate and tie things down more aggresively. I've hauled 12ft trim in my 2011 access cab, half in the bed, half not so much. If you tie it together enough it doesn't bounce up and down too much.

I prefer to put 16’ers in the back of mine and lust let them drag a little, then I cut off about 6” when I get home. Ends up being more than the 12’ers which saves me a trip.

Update: Ended up dropping a bit since my initial report. 2nd full tank showed 15.7 on the truck, 15.9 calculated, and 16.9 when accounting for tires. I thought I was just stuck with poor mpgs after modifying the aerodynamics of the truck so much, but not the case with 1.05. Mat has done a killer job IMO and will only get better.

I'm at well over 400 miles on 93. It has really settled in and is running freaking awesome. It's taking a little getting used to but I (think) I like how you can control shifting 4-6 more or less with the go pedal. Be easy on it, low revs for cruising. Push a little harder, speed up. Push even harder, it downshifts or locks and vroom! I can still use S mode if I want to keep it from going into 5 or 6 though. Downshift 2>1 cold clunk is definitely gone. Hell, I've also had the steering wheel and gas pedal "buzzy vibration" since I bought it and even that is minimized because OVTune keeps it mostly away from 2k RPMs where it's prominent. \m/

I installed the 1.05 87 on a '18 short bed and it clunked, stuttered, stumbled and the idle was all over the map.
Reloaded 1.05 87 on a long bed and it is as perfect as can be. You 'length challenged bed owners' need to trade it for a LB.

Seems all these trucks have a personality of their own! I ran 2 tanks of 93 on 1.05 93 and 2 tanks of 93 on 1.05 87. I am now on my second tank of 93 with 1.05 91 and my truck hit the sweet spot. Not complaining about the 87 or 93 tunes just seems like 1.05 91 is the ticket...the other two tunes for me just did some weird things and I'll leave it at that.

Is this primarily in town or on the highway?

My car requires 91 octane fuel but runs much better on most 93 fuels. The higher octane fuel alsoallows some variability for poorer quality fuels.

On the other hand, if the 93 tune requires good 93 fuel, poor fuel quality can make a huge difference in feel.

For my truck on 93, fuel brand quality matters a lot - it does not like Shell 93 from Massachusetts.
