I’ll tell ya after Sunday. Pulling a 5500lbs trailer this weekend. 1.04 pulled it like a champ so hopefully 1.05 will also. I know Mat did some testing towing a while back so I’m not too worried about it.

I'll be stoked for better pulling when I install the tune... Did 3 9000km+ road trips in just over the past year with my RPod 179 and mtbs and gear and towing with the Tacoma sucks so far.

Aside, waiting for my tunes since Monday after sending in the output info - usually take more than 3d? I'm just impatient as I'm excited to finally try out the OV tunes!!!!

I got my tune files about 20 minutes after sending my ECU info.

Is that recently?? I'm unsure if I should have just replied to the original support desk thread where they provided me my registry files - I started a new email to support desk when I sent in my output information - @OVTune did I go about this correctly? I was just hoping that I'd get the tunes to play with it this weekend! :bananadance:

I’ll be eagerly waiting for your review. I plan on pulling a trailer which will be around 4200lbs. I know my Tacoma will tow it now but if this tune will add a little more pull, it will be worth it.

I've towed all over the US and its well worth it, it pulls so much better.

When he provided registry files, I replied to the same email thread and did not start a new one and got mine pretty quick. Not sure if it matters or not, and that was also before the release of 1.05. Just depends on how busy he is I would imagine for how soon you get the files.

    Running 1.04 on 91

Going to drive the same on 1.05 87 first. I'll report with the results.

You don’t have to unzip a bin. That’s the file you flash (dongle users)

Seriously wish I bought an MT just for the different gear ratio.

The gear ratios are SOOOO much better in the MT. It’s crazy how much different the truck drives vs the AT

Just trying 89 to see if it performs the same? I am still on 1.05v2 91. I cant wait to be able to custom tune to get some better tip in. Are you re geared? Post a pic of your truck, like to see what your running.

Yes to see if it performs differently. I will try 87 octane after this. Stock gears. Likely go back down to 265/70/17 after these wear out

Been using 87 1.05 tune with 89/91 octane fuel and seems to be at the sweet spot!

I started with the 1.05 91 tune and it was awesome. Last weekend I switched to the 87 tune to give it a try. I had half a tank off 91 so I ran that till gone and filled up with 87 a couple days ago. I saw no difference with the lower octane, but the 87 tune itself runs great in my truck, really like it better than the 91 tune! Happy camper here, Mat outdid himself on this one!
