That voltage is low. Should be 12.2 or higher

Your maestro RR is the issue. I have to disable the maestro's OBD through my Kenwood headunit to flash. See if your headunit has something similar.

Damn, I do not want to rip out the headunit every time to flash. I have a pioneer 8400 nex. Hopefully I can figure this out.

You should be able to do it through the headunit's menu somewhere.

    Good job helping out.
    We should probably ask Matt
@OVTune to add a note to flashing instructions on this...

My headunit has multiple obd setups for the maestro. Default is “auto disable” which supposedly recognizes diagnostic tools and will auto disable the maestro. But it apparently doesn’t recognize pcm flash as a diagnostic tool so it has to be fully disabled. Worked right away though. Thanks for the fast help guys!

The impossible truck does it again!

55mile trip, 50 of it is sitting on I4 at 75mph with cruise control on. One short burst to 90 because grandpa was a moron in the left lane. Temp was 55-63f (colder inland) and I saw 31mpg for a few minutes once I'd slowed down in city traffic. Way there in the morning was 27mpg due to 40f temps (seat warmers and cold start) and way back (pictures) was 3 hours later.

I have the same problems as you on 1.05 so I went back to 1.04R till Mat can figure the issue. Logged some data for him so hopefully that helps him out. You've always been a valued contributor to the development of the tune both behind the scenes and on the forum and I'm kinda bummed that you are taking a step back cause I always knew that your posts had substance and clarity beyond what most people here post. I'm hoping that taking a break will reignite your desire for the tune and you'll be back with reviews and input when Mat does get the gremlins sorted out for our (seemingly) random minority of trucks. In fact, I think i'll message you to figure what the similarity of our trucks are. Thanks bshammer

I appreciate that @inksin I'm still a big believer in Mat and I know this will continue to progress as time goes on. I'm not selling my kit or anything so I'll still be around watching, lurking and happy to help wherever I can! Good luck getting your issues sorted out as well

Quick answer for a quick question please since there are over 1800 pages.

Is this tune worth it on a fully stock Tacoma? Yes or No?

    thanks

Eye of the beholder kinda thing but for me, absolutely yes.
Mind you, Redbeard and I are both having issues with the tune and we still both said yes without hesitation.

I would not call mine an issue. More of a growing pain.

I still say yes. Makes 80mph interstate travel here in Texas and towing a pleasure instead of a chore.

    Regarding custom tuning, options etc.
    - Please see what we have already said about this. We will have a blog post up soon to go over it CLEARLY.
    - Regarding dongle-less software. if you continually switch computers, again and again, The entire process has to be started over, you cannot flash files from a different system ID to a new computer.
    - For people who are habitually switching computers for no obvious reason, creating un-necessary additional work for us, we are going to have to start implementing limits on how many registration keys we are willing to make in a set period of time. Registering and buying 5+ new computers is a little beyond the scope of what is considered "normal" for software licensing.

    - Regarding tickets. New customers who are waiting on registry files / tune files etc, and customers with actual ISSUES will take priority over custom tuning, options, and random questions.

All of this has been added to our main page.

There WILL be a limit to customization and options going forward from 1.05. People who want additional, and additional customization provided that is well beyond the scope of what we have offered as free updates / options or customization are going to have to pay for additional service. When we offered free custom tuning / options and free updates, that doesn't mean "endless tuning." It's important to understand that.

I'd like this to be as clear as possible moving forward.
