I would like to flash my dongle kit from 1.04r to 1.05, but can't find the files anymore for 04B04. I've submitted a ticket and haven't heard anything yet.

We just got back to work this morning and will send you the files as soon as we can.

Also.. I dont even know how to really say this but for people who have not a clue how to use a computer or how to read, maybe our product is not the best for you. It's actually getting tiring how many people buy it, receive their kit and then we get a message "I dont know how to do this please refund me." It's starting to get absurd honestly. Please read our ToC. I hate to have to do this but if you send us an email that clearly shows us you haven't even read the instructions at all, you're going to get a reply with our instructions and that's it.

Mat, with the custom tunes would it be possible to change the S-mode shift pattern to be reversed from how it is stock? Also, is it possible to reduce the amount of time spent between gears?

I am not sure what reversed from stock means?

We will have a blog post available soon that will cover what will be and what will not be part of custom tune / tune options.

I think part of the problem here is that sometimes "newbies" to the process come to the thread to ask a question about installing or using the software to flash, and then there's the inevitable chorus of replies saying "If you're having trouble, send Mat a ticket".

There are many here that are more than capable and willing to help people with installation issues. "Tickets" should be used for actual TUNE issues (or requests). Why bother Mat with things like "I keep getting this error message!!!"?
Let's let Mat do what Mat does best... TUNE. In most cases, Forum members can help other Forum members with the trivial stuff like installing software and flashing the ECU. We don't need the Forum Police screaming "Ticket, Ticket, Ticket!" every time someone has a software issue.

The issue is we are getting more and more people who aren't reading anything. Literally nothing. "What's a SYSTEM ID" "how do I get a SYSTEM ID" "How do I download the software" is showing us you're just not even looking at the instructions.

Well if this thread wasn't 1800 pages, people would be much more willing to actually do a little reading themselves. They're lazy.

On the "custom tuning" part, it should be called something different at this point. It sounds like its basically a different set of tune files with different maps based on certain vehicle mods. To me, "custom tuning" sounds like a remote live dyno tuning session that is custom tailored to the specific vehicle. So maybe these other tune maps should be something like 1.06, 1.07, 1.08, etc. Or even 1.051, 1.052, 1.053, etc.

Will logger only be a part of 'custom tuning'? I ASSUMED that it would available for all customers, but recent posts implied it would be provided as part of custom tune requests (not to say it Wont be available for everyone). (Website lists datalogging software as a part of the kit...)

As a side note, if custom tuning primarily is using pre-prepared versions (based on your tire size, gearing, weight, I assume most people wont need to bother sending you logs, unless they have something funky going on, so it wont matter if they bought handheld with cable or without, etc...

Just thinking out loud here really..

Logger will be available for everyone.

Yes that is our goal for customization. We are going to have preset files for a majority of different modifications /gears/ tires etc out there. Because individually customizing every single part of every persons tune would take us literal years to do. Especially considering some people have made it clear that nothing is good enough.
Believe me I understand that some of you are frustrated with your trucks, how it drives, issues with pining, stumbling, etc.
The most efficient way of doing this is having preset tunes setup for various popular mods. Also because some people are just asking for stuff that's again, beyond the scope of tuning / customization.

Safe to say Lift + larger tires will qualify me for the custom tuning? When available of course..
If you cant use a computer you probably shouldnt be tuning your truck people xD

unfortunately you can't fix dumb with duct tape - otherwise there would be a fix for those noted. If they can't use their computer I wonder if they even have fingers? Duh.

There are python libraries that could be used to log data to something like a raspi. You would be limited to whatever serial interface you picked though.

If I recall correctly the fast polling data rate is actually slower then the SD card standalone rate (CAN line). Which might mean you could just slap an SD card in a tactrix with a config file and get constant standalone datalogging. I have not messed with this on our truck.... yet. Using techstream works but its such a piece of shit as far as software goes, especially for logging.

Jesus, it has nothing to do with any generation. It's only a point I'm trying to point out that as the amount of customers grow, the amount of special individualized time I can spend with each customer decreases. We are at the point now that if you purchase without knowing you need a computer with windows ( right in bold red on the product page) or ask for a refund because you can't find your system ID or don't know what the system ID is ( or other clear and obvious email that the instructions are not being read ) your refund request will be denied. And the individualized help for people who refuse to even try to on their own will be not be an immediate priority. I do try to help as much as I can and be as fair as possible here. I want everyone to be happy and the more time I am walking people through steps my instructions outline, the less time I can spend working on tunes, updates, issues, etc.

The same for ticket / emails that are asking about things clearly outlined in instructions OR tickets that are far beyond the scope of tuning / our product / related to what we are doing.

I'm sure we are all tired of waiting X days for response. I don't like being continually behind either. So not much other choice.

Some step by step videos are definitely planned, it's just finding time.

Our instructions will be updated again soon for new customers, making it easier than literally ever, thanks to a nice member here working with us to build a better flash manager.

The thing about handhelds is there will be times, in some situations where a computer will be needed.
