With regards to the handheld units, did Mat ever offer or mention a hardware-only price for those who already own regular tune licenses?

If the price was right I wouldn't mind having a handheld to keep in the glovebox if I couldn't find 91 on the road...

I'll be pulling some more CAN data today, and had a question for you guys.

previously we had people ask about the rear diff lock. I'm going to get some data that while I'm pulling data from the bus.

What was the mod you guys asked for? Locking it all the time?

The ability to lock in 2wd maybe? Not too sure but that sounds like it makes sense to me

The ability to lock it at any point in time would be extremely useful!

I personally think that you're playing with fire and could do some serious damage to your truck by locking the rear at higher speeds in 4HI or 2WD. You may also cause conflicts with TCS if/when both are activated together under unexpected conditions that run counter to their programming. Do you plan to modify the TCS programming, as well?

What's the use case? When do you think you'll lock the rear in 4HI or 2WD that couldn't otherwise be done in 4LO?

    Just curious.

I would have thought 2WD low would be more widely useful.. meh

I'm not making any promises, just looking at the data.
There is a lot of things I'll be dissecting further this year. Locker, 4H, 4L, crawl control modes, etc.

Several parts of code I've already found and made modifications to to test results.
Like forcing 1 shift schedule for all drive modes.
Or defaulting ECT shift map when starting the truck (and ect button turns it off).
    Torque table scheduling, disabling

Lots of stuff. Just investigating what new features for the future.
Our new flash manager is going to make releases, feature updates, etc super easy.

This is indeed a potentially expensive option. The same was true when the grey wire mod was used in Gen 1. deeper gears and bigger tires and lifts all add to stress and strain on the vehicle . As long as the owner is aware of the potential and willing to accept the responsibility, I say " it's their truck to do with as they wish"

My Kubota Tractor allows me to engage the rear locker when in 4Hi and it is very handy. If I start to slip in 4Hi I just push down on the locker pedal and easily keep moving. If I had to shift into 4Lo, than engage the locker that would drive me crazy. So, I'd like to see the ability to use the rear locker while in 4Hi. I can see it being very beneficial while in snow also. Don't use 4 Lo when driving on main roads but when turning onto some steep side streets it'd be nice to have both rear wheels grab to get up and over.
