    OP has been updated.

Has there been anyone with a MANUAL transmission that has seen a higher than normal misfire count?

When our new flash manager is finished, several updates will be available. Including what I have been working on the last 2 days (and tomorrow / this weekend).

I am going to stay on stock TSB for now. Drive home tonight 3 misfires (within first 10 seconds of starting the truck), followed by 0 for the rest of the trip - over 20 miles.

If you want to try the 87 octane tune again, flash it and then start your truck. Immediately after, turn the truck off and unplug the battery for 5-10 minutes.
For some reason, some trucks ECUs do not properly reset learned values (RAM) and you could have been running your 93 octane tunes learned ignition with the 87 octane.
Since the MBT table for 87 is beyond the capacity for 87, if you use the 93 KLVC, it will knock extremely bad.

The failure to properly reset and clear is an issue unrelated to our tune or software, it's a problem with Toyotas ECUs after programming, and does not happen on all of them.
To be safe for the future we are going to be putting that into our instructions.

Will the new flash manager work with dongles, as well? If not, how will dongle users receive/download all of the updates?

Ok next time I will. What i thought was odd was that when i first set it to the 87 tune it seemed fine. It was when I got about 150 miles on it, it started doing it. Then it got progressively worse. To the point I was waiting for the check engine light to come on. I'm not blaming it on the tune. It just didn't like it. I had similar issues at stock and the TSB update.

I suspect they will work just like they did with previous versions of flash manager. Remember, the dongle is only used to verify your software license, you could theoretically use any laptop that has the drivers for the tactrix and software for PCMFlash installed.

I have emailed you about it. It was the reason I got the tune in the first place. That's why I'm just gonna stay on the 91 tune till i get the logger from you. It seems fine on that tune. I'm sure u can see what is going on.

New flash manager will work with all versions of tune kit, and dongle-less will have access to updates immediately. No first / second wave basis.

I’m on the 1.05 version tune. The first one I’ve installed so far. How do you data log?

This! This! This! I disconnected my battery to redo my light switches and wiring this evening, got it all done...well almost all. Then drove to the store and the tune was completely different. It had WAY more throttle response and just seemed to drive better. I thought I was hallucinating. 87 tune on 89 octane.

I'm ready to install my new, first flash tomorrow - 1.05 91. My 2016 Tacoma also has had the 4.88s installed. Does your flash incorporate any change due to the differential change? I'm not sure if mine does - if available. My 2016 is a "Sport" without an OEM locker but now has both front and rear ARBs.
They work great in the snow, mud, and other difficult situations. FUN... Also, I have MESO's adapter causing the ECT switch to come on immediately after start. Will this be an issue with the new flash???

Forgot to plug my ODB in this morning until 2miles into my 6.5mile commute so missed warm up. Rest of the way was 23 misfires.

I am working on an update and trying to see what's going on. If your truck is having misfires, it makes more sense to let me know so that I can provide you the update first. (for everyone).

    Make sure to include:
    - year of truck and ECU version
    - what version of tune you're currently running.

final note, if you go out of your way to try to find problems, you will find problems. The stock programming is full of problems. Don't go chasing ghosts just because of a few trucks with issues.

Truth... I can verify that flashing from 93 to 87 with 93 in the tank resulted in extreme knock.

Question - when I last flashed back to stock, I flashed, then disconnected (did not start up immediately after flash). What is the reason you recommend quickly starting before disconnecting the cable?
