Might be onto something. Mine (2018) uses the brakes to correct sliding in snow. It is extremely effective. If you want to mess around and slide the rear end you have to disable it or the truck just won't slide. What would happen to this system if the rear end was locked?

So, I have been driving on ECT the last few days in a last ditch effort to prevent me from trading in for an f150. I decided that’s exactly how I want this truck to feel. Does this tune feel similar to that? If so I’m sold. I’ve been following this thread since I bought my 2017, but I’ve read about some of the issues so I’ve held off. Once the patch for 1.05 is released then I will probably buy it. I’m excited!

Just completed the Flash and took the truck on my 46 mile commute and wow. What a difference! Truck's drive-ability so massively improved. Just wanted to thank Mat and everyone who worked on this. Best money I've spent.

No, I woudn't say it feels like ECT on a stock tune, more like something in between, shift points aren't as high as ECT and they are smoother, but much different than stock. It really does feel like it you would think the stock, original tune from Toyota should have been IMO.

I like it better than ECT, it's less aggressive and easier to manage in traffic and slow situations.

Also worth noting, the developer, Mat, has figured out a way to have ECT active upon start up of the vehicle so you don't have to even push the button. This may be available as a custom tune eventually.

Was it Rafael or I who mentioned about the forum? I can't recall telling someone to go post on the forum.

Anyways yes some trucks are experiencing some issues which is why we are working on an update as fast as we can, while having flash manager updated for an easy update.

Bad idle vibrations can happen from that idle target I posted above. It has not been fixed yet since stock. But it's in the upcoming fix.

A simple yes or no would suffice and have been less effort on your part. There isn’t anything on page one that I can tell that talks about the speedometer nor am I going to peruse 1900 pages searching for answers.

At this point the answer is no,the tune will not recalibrate the speedo for tires/gears. Mat did indicate that at some point it might be a possibility but he wants to focus on the performance and drive-ability aspects of the tune

Same here - cruising on the highway (about 2000rpms) my truck was vibrating pretty bad in the steering. It still just seems to be the harmonic vibrations but they can and are impacted by the calibration based on my experience. Some versions had almost no vibes, some had more, stock 17’ ECU more than B04 TSB. I don’t know what variable exists between those such that some introduce or amplify the vibes and some reduce. Mat’s aware and looking into it - likely another random thing that happens on some trucks and not others

Glad I’m not the only one. I was like, really!!!? Another vibe? Glad it’s just the tune and not something else

Those dyno charts kinda confused me. How much HP to the wheel with 91octane are we putting out? 219hp? Weak :-/ we need boost bad

Should be able to feel the added torque with the tune update. I’m hopeful of Mat’s progression of the tune.

Maybe.. or maybe not. No replacement for displacement, unless you throw a ton of boost at it. Really liking the idea of a mid size truck putting out some good hp/trq :mudding:

I'm going in for my last big service. They are going to do a full check and service. Is there any reason I should flash to stock before going in?only wondering as if they did a update with tune installed if it would affect anything.

Flashing back to stock would be ideal but most likely unnecessary. From all the emails I get dealers are acting like it's the end of the world just to check someone's ecu for the TSB.
