No worries. I emailed last week and you said it would ship this week so I gave it the full week without a second thought. I knew you were slammed with this so I was trying to not cause more work.

 

I feel for you. Over the years I've shipped many and it's by providence none have been stolen.

 

I was advised that I would likely have lost money, ultimately, if I didn't break even on it. Not 100% sure if that was true, but ultimately I got told that what complicated the issue was that I was not the sender, but the recipient, independent of the rifle being mine. It was returning to me following services rendered.

I kept all my paperwork and research and notes from phone calls and everything though. Based on all of the receipt scans and their updates, which they insisted were accurate, it arrived at one of their hubs and then disappeared, which effectively means they imply that it was stolen within their system without admitting it. Ultimately, they still made the sender eat over half the cost on a replacement rifle. The whole situation still makes me mad. I get quarterly phone calls from the ATF still, to confirm that my rifle is still unrecovered lol

That is incredibly shitty for both you and the sender. Was there no insurance on the package? I rarely put insurance on things when shipping since I don't usually send expensive things. A firearm however I would always do it.

It was insured.

Local PD in the city where the gun was last checked in to a UPS hub assured me that it wasn't lost within the UPS building, saying that their department pays them bonuses to search for lost valuable items such as guns at shipping facilities, so they have incentive to be thorough. Long story short, they couldn't find it either, meaning that either the rifle was removed from the box prior to being scanned in, leaving an empty box to be scanned, or it was scanned in and then stolen shortly after. Either way, that's where the trail went cold.

Ultimately they railroaded the sender into eating about 60% of the cost on the replacement

Downloaded and installed base 87 with no problems. I unhooked my battery for a while before flashing and the truck feels great after a couple drives.

I’m getting ”this app can’t run on your pc. To find a version for your PC check with your software publisher” when I try to run the successfully installed FM.
