Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Doesn't matter. FM is by calibration year not model year.
Looks like pcmflash is not seeing your truck, that's the issue.
Do this;
1. Shut truck off
2. Exit all software
3. Run software connect to truck, flash

 

I'm getting this same error. X64 version.

 

it's doing a 2 second flash then successful, doesn't seem right

 

I will have to see what this issue is tomorrow, sorry guys.

 

Try downloading the tune file again. Sorry you're having so many issues. Not sure why. I can send you the files directly in the morning if you continue to have issues.

Worth a test : shut truck off, turn truck on. Click "CLEAR DTC" then flash.

Ecu may be stuck waiting for a response key from trying so many times.

Or start the truck then shut off then try.

 

@ihatemytruck which version of windows are you running? Wishing we could figure this out tonight.

 

Funny thing is, I clicked the dropdown and selected P5-Can instead of CAN-bus, flashed, failed.

Then went back and selected CAN-bus, flashed, success...but it took like 40 seconds this time. Thoughts?

 

What is the benefit of the single torque map patch for MT trucks?

 

Truck starts fine?
Shouldn't be an issue there isn't really a difference between the two except the CAN is the barebone version of P5CAN firmware

yah, truck started. Now have battery disconnected. Then going to do 10 minute idle. What seemed weird was how fast it flashed (under a minute)

Mine did the same. And it runs better than it ever has now. 93 base tune.
