@ihatemytruck @El Chivo Norteño I got it figured out so now I can at least launch Flash Manager 1.2.0. Haven't tried flashing the truck yet. Let's see if I can remember how I did this now.

    1. https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledg...is-unable-to-start-correctly-0xc00007b-error/ Follow step 5) go in and uninstall all Microsoft visual C++ items.

    2. Went to Microsoft and downloaded both x86 and x64 Visual Studio 2017, but didn't help, so I'm not sure if this helped the end result or not.

    3. Follow this step 1) https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-fix-mfc100-dll-not-found-or-missing-errors-2623609 and installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update.

After that I can now launch Flash Manager 1.2.0.

I should also note that this Windows laptop is set to NOT automatically install updates.

can someone tell me what ECT mode is like with the 91 or 93 tunes? or does that button even do anything anymore once you flash the tune on the truck??

Thanks Mat for sticking with me and helping me through it. Took a drive and the 87 Performance tune is quite nice with great tip-in. I can imagine the higher octane tunes are gnarly.

    You are the man.

    1.05 gear lock 91 tune is :bananadead::burnrubber:
I wish I had access to 93 octane here.
Throttle response/tip in is amazing even in reverse so be careful backing up!

Need more miles to get use to gear lock and upshifting at higher rpms.

S mode gear lock is a great on the highway and hills. It won’t shift to 6th until 72mph on my truck but once it’s locked I can slow down and stay locked.

    Thank you OV Tune!

For all you guys running the higher octanes. I flashed the 87 performance tune and it is night and day different from the previous 1.05. The response is amazing, my truck is back to feeling 1000lbs lighter and the tip-in is awesome...the higher rpms is a bit alarming in first.

I'll bet those higher octanes feel even better with even more power. 91 may come in the future, but for now im going to run this 87 tune until summer.

Nice job @OVTune. Thank you for being so patient

I was wondering about those 6th gear upshifts. Still seems a bit strange, but that makes more sense. I'll have to keep an eye on my speeds next time I try it.

Good report. I may have to run 87 for a bit see if 91 is worth the extra fuel price

Dongle flash was much faster now than in the past, or at least it seemed like it. I will say though, it is a little tricky jumping from Flash Manger to PCM Flash. But it appears the process is essentially the same as before, but using Flash Manger to download each individual tune. Will get to drive tomorrow. So excited for the 91 performance tune with gear locking!!

You might have to delete/download the Microsoft Visual C++ stuff to fix that. Read my previous post about it.
