So FM is open and running, but you can’t download files?

 

From Flash manager ..error downloading file ...iv'e purged ,installed ,and updated per instructions

Reposting here so people don’t have to dig. If you are getting a .dll error than you will need to use one of these Flash Managers. You will need to find out if your machine uses 32 or 64 bit. For my Bootcamp via Max it was 64 bit.

Are you selecting to correct ID? My truck is 2016, but 04B04 so I had to pull tunes from the 2017 04B04

If it is still throwing an error after you confirm the above it is likely the antivirus software

 

Ended up using it and got another error but i saw past a few posts mat said he will have to address it tomorrow. Guess ill just make sure everything is updated until then to see if i can fix if my self

 

On the 1.00, and 1.02 x64 I get the same error, which is that the PC can’t run the software.

On 1.02, x86 I get the attached image error. Qt5widgets.dll error.

I’m running a RCA Cambio on Windows 10 (32 bit operating system, x64 based processor). Windows is up to date.

Strange that the x86 seems to get me closer than the x64 FM. I have tried the update through Microsoft Visual Studio C++. The x86 update runs succesfully, while I get an usupported error for x64.

2017 DCLB 04B03, so only base tunes available. Took a bit to figure that out. Derp.

Initial impression of the 93 base tune after a single six mile round trip to the grocery.

Idle is much lower. I never noticed it before, but my idle RPM must have been significantly higher because I definitely noticed that now, it's a solid 500rpm. I had to blip the throttle to make sure it was running.

Power seems a little better than before with the pedal on the floor.
One of my complaints with the previous tune was that it took too long to downshift after coming off the throttle after being full on the throttle. Things are much improved, and I suspect they are as good as can be for this transmission. In a week, I will probably not even notice it's that much better.
Under less than full throttle, it seems to want to upshift more quickly than I'd like, but that's what the performance tune is for, right?

Well worth the wait.

 

Went to fill up the tank with more Shell 87 after flashing 87 Performance. Response is much improved from base tune and got up to 70 much quicker than before. Downshifts and unlocks with much less throttle input to accelerate. Yes, hasn't settled in yet but already better than 93 Base tune. Full disclosure; I run ECT on all the time and used Techstream to clear ECU/ECT learning after flash. Also flashed on warm engine and idled 5 minutes after learning reset.

 

So this thread is 2000 pages which im not going to read, so I am going to post my questions here


I have a 2017 DCLB TRD Sport, I’m looking to get this tune for my truck. Is there only one tune available? If not what tunes are available? And what is the gear locking tune?

 

04b03...they're in there ...do I want to try to down load file when i'm in the truck and after click on P5flash ?

 

Just ordered the tune. First time doing this, anything I can download or do before the package gets to me? Wanna slap that bad boy in ASAP.

 

only the "base" tune is available for 04b03.
