Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Downloaded 1.05 93+Gearlock and couldn't really try it out, the roads here are a sheet of ice! Like Matt said, easy on the throttle with that one, especially in the snow and ice! But damn does it drive so much better now. Tip in is spot on and power is unbelievable! Idle problem I was having is gone, it purrrs now And too Mat Thank you

Continue to get the following even with the new 1.02 FM links Matt posted when I try to run FM. Installed the last MS Visual C as well.

Running Windows 10 32bit x86

 

Loaded the performance 91 gearlock tune. Cleared ECU learned values with techstream and idled for 10min. Wasn't sure about clearing the transmission memory so I left it alone. Put on little over 80 miles today. The taco is running smooth and punchy.....loving it. The tune just keeps getting better and better. Damn I wish I could get 93 gas here, I bet the 93 performance tune rocks!!!

 

It looks like the x86 (32bit) version was inadvertently bundled with the x64 dll's. Hopefully we'll get a repackaged installer today.

 

How did you clear the values with techstream? I have it, but not all that familiar with it. Under what settings do you find this?

 

Connect to vehicle, engine, utilities. Or transmission, utilities where you can clear both ECU and ETU learning. I did the latter.

 

engine > utility > clear learned values.

Okay so x86 will be repacked and fixed. few little bugs, but so far so good.

 

Good morning @OVTune Windows Defender quarantined a trojan. Should I remove it? Safe to restore?

 

There are not trojans or viruses in our software so you're good.

I'll be getting everything repacked and fixed with updated blog and instructions / getting to some tickets.

had the same c++Redistributable errors as many have, the
quickest way around these ( no reboot needed ) is to remove
any you have from updates in your CP and then reinstall the

Ok, removed it. Thanks for the quick reply. Just a quick test drive last night but loving 87 Performance.

 

Playing with FM last night and did this. It auto saved it in the same folder as the tunes folder. Nice!

 

After getting errors trying to download tunes yesterday I was finally able to download the 87 base tune with no modifiers. Driving into work was leaps and bounds better than the 1.05 I had on there before. Can't wait to try the performance tune!
