Also a good tip if you running into windows defender issues.

Windows Defender Security Center -> Click on Virus & Threat Protection -> Click on Virus & Threat Protection settings , Scroll down to exclusions -> Click on Add or Remove Exclusions

Click Add and Exclusion

Add c:\program files\OVTune (Or wheverer you installed FM)
Add c:\users\<your userid>\Toyota Flash Manager

I am not a malware expert, but i can't find anything nefarious with PCMFlash or P5Flash, however because the software uses some secret licence stuff, the programmer used some packing methods to obscure how the code is executing. These activities match a signature of a known Trojan because they do a similar thing unfortunately many A/V tools just look for matching bits even though its not nefarious.

x86 is being fixed.
If you get errors with that version above, that means your computer is not x64. If you are unsure if your computer is or not, then just wait for x86 version.

Thanks , this gets confusing at times when us dongle users have to click on files that are labeled discontinued .

Ya, I was just a little confused. I understood what FOB was, but I was thinking the performance file would have been a more akin to a modified attkins rather the FO.

 

I'd think that's more in line with the Base 91 and 93 octane maps. Plus, you want FO anyway. Lol

 

Fix -
**04B30 ECUs - a new version is available for anyone whose truck will not rev to 6800 rpm on the 93 octane tune. All other octane versions work fine.

 

@Rocky.Mtn @OVTune was Rocky's windows tablet issue resolved? I've been toying with the idea of replacing my shitty old laptop that I use for tuning with a windows 10 tablet dedicated to tuning purposes. Don't know if Rocky is a dongle user, but I am. Just in case that happens to be a difference between us that may result in me not experiencing whatever issue he was running into

 

Are there new versions of both the "performance" and "performance+gear" tunes, or only one of those? Also, do they have new filenames?

I'm a little confused on the whole 6800 rpm rev limiter thing. Is it supposed to happen in both D and S modes? Which gears? Mine definitely revs that high in 2nd gear while in D mode, but not in any of the other gears as I'm climbing from 1-4. (I'm currently running just "93 perf" on my 04B30 with dongle files).

 

93 performance, 93 gear lock

Will only go to 6800 in 1rst and 2nd gear.
3rd gear and up you'd be going way too fast.

same names, just delete your old and renew/redownload

Is there any difference in the 2016 and 2017 04B30 tunes? There is no drop down for 04B30 under 2016

 

04B30 is a 2019 ECU..
