The build up is gonna make me think my truck will do 5 second 0-60 and 12 second quarter miles is what I mean

Never thought I'd be the guy to turn down power...

The 91 Performance tip in was just too aggressive tip in for me. It wasn't smooth enough. Wife kept saying "Why are you trying to race people?" from lights.
Had to feather the shit out of the gas peddle pulling in to my garage.

I mean, i'm glad it exists. I'm getting bigger tires soon and may want it.

Flashed 91 base today. So much better.
Plus I noticed it's better than the last 1.05 91. Got rid of a couple things I didn't like.

All is good in the world.

I guess for the time being I should flash the new 1.05 base

Funny you should say that. After flashing 87 Performance, off the line performance reminded me of a 1968 396 Camaro SS I had in high school.

I'm on 87 base tune and it seems like when I'm doing a constant acceleration like getting on the highway once it goes into fourth gear I have to stick my foot another two inches into the throttle or else it falls flat and starts to decelerate, or at least accelerate just above maintaining speed.

I believe that's by design to maximize MPG. You'll like 87 Performance better, you won't have to keep your foot in it as much.

And...to keep it out of 4th at interstate speeds. Remember, the same table for upshift is used for downshift.

Same here.. Seems like under normal driving conditions 5-10% throttle it shifts way too soon. I still get a lot of shudder and stumbling in 5th and 6th with the new tune too.

Is there anything new in the x64 version besides the c++ distribution? Previous version worked fine. Just downloaded it and backed it up in a place right before this dropped. Laziness doesn't want me to repeat it all.

This. I put my foot down say 50%, truck accelerates, shifts, keeps accelerating then without letting off the gas, still at 50%, shifts again and seems to just decide 'okay, I'm done accelerating now'. Drives me insane. This is the first automatic vehicle I have ever owned, and will probably be my last. My girlfriend's car does not drive like that. The throttle in the Tacoma almost seems like depending on how far its depressed determines the speed. Put the pedal down ~1/3 you go 45 regardless of hills, you hit a hill foot same position, truck down shift and keeps you at that speed if you don't change throttle position. It's really strange. Maybe I'm crazy and just haven't gotten used to driving an automatic yet.

Agreed. Tires make a huge difference on rpms and how this truck shifts. Went from 255/75/17 to 265/70/17 and the shifting was noticeably different

I've been away for a few weeks and see that big, exciting things are afoot! I've installed the new Toyota Flash Manager and am getting errors when trying to download anything other than the base 1.05 tunes for my 2018 A/T and dongleless setup. Without skimming through the last ten thousand pages of this thread, I'm assuming this is because Mat hasn't released the Performance, GearLock, and FOB tunes for automatic transmissions yet?

Nope you're not crazy, I've only every owned AT vehicles and this is one of my biggest complaints even now with OVTune. I wanted an MT but couldn't live with a shortbed.

You will like it, but I wouldn’t be doing 0-60 in a taco for comparison of how satisfied you will be.

That's how this transmission works. Gas pedal angle and vehicle speed
