I don't know about 12's but I suspect 14's would be achievable. Waiting on dry roads to check with my torque app...

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

I'd love to see a straight-line race with a MT versus an AT with 93 octane gear lock, and I think a few of the crazy bastards here can make it happen.

I need help for my dumb-old computer illiterate ass, i finally got flash manager downloaded with the new link after figuring out i have 32 bit laptop, went thru instructions and looks like the P5Flash utility is grayed out, so that doesn't work, but i found the utility on my desktop and was able to open it, got the tune I wanted thru instructions (04B04, 87, Base), but apparently it's a Dongle version and I don't have a damn dongle. Besides putting a bullet in my head and calling it a day, anyone know what the f** i did wrong here?

Just did a short drive on 87 performance as I had 87 in the tank. I was literally about to go to ECGS and do 4.88s but now I’m back to holding off. The truck drives pretty dang great! And I’m sure will get better with miles. Feels pretty awesome. Way safer to drive as you can actually press on the gas and go and pass someone. Can’t imagine 93 performance. Might give it a try here in a few days. No complaints so far! Tip in takes some getting used to but I’m diggin it. Gas mileage didn’t seem to be any worse either. 33x12.5s and stock gears.

And you have done amazing things with what you have had to work with. I still think it was designed weird and that requested torque should play a role in the calculations. I'm only able to use base1.05 right now, but it's noticeably improved over the last release. The tune is a huge improvement over how the truck came from the factory.

FYI - OVTune’s blog stated that ECT in D with the gear lock tune is not recommended because it won’t down shift until it’s below 1200 RPM. If you’re on the freeway this is probably ok, but definitely not good for city driving.

Here’s what it says on the blog:

“NOTE- WHEN ECT IS ACTIVE THE TRUCK WILL NOT DOWNSHIFT WITHOUT MANUAL INTERVENTION (S MODE SHIFTER).

IF YOU PRESS ECT IN D MODE, THE TRUCK WILL UPSHIFT BUT WILL NOT DOWNSHIFT UNLESS THE RPM IS VERY LOW (1200 RPM). SO IT IS POSSIBLE TO DRIVE IN ECT + D MODE, BUT NOT ADVISABLE AROUND TOWN.”

@OVTune I’m still on the 03 ECU so I’m not in a rush but I haven’t seen anything about the “Legacy” tune lately. Is that still happening or still in the works?

04b02 and 04b03 are being worked on but not yet available. mat is adding the TSB updates into the tune for them so its taking some time due to the amount of changes.

Nice! 87 Performance is a hoot on my 32s. I can only imagine 93P but sticking with 87P for now to save $$ at the pump.
