+1 vote on a bit tamer tip in option for the perf tune. I’m using 91 perf and backing up into a spot got a bit hairy. Need that fine tune throttle back a bit.

So if I have to replace my cat at 300,000 miles rather than 450,000 due to misfires (making up numbers), who gives a shit? There's more important things in life to worry about.

Have you try 91 base? Throttle tip in is similar to original 1.05, maybe even less aggressive than original 1.05. I flashed 91 performance for 1 day, couldn't handle the tip.....in.

Yeah. The first 4 revisions and I didn’t like it. Not sure the base is a further revision of the original 05 or not.

I'm getting used to the tip in. Thought it was a bit harsh at first.

The latest base 1.05 tunes released with flash manager are refined if I remember correctly.

Can't wait to try the 91 performance when it comes out for my ecu. 91 base sure is nice ....not many miles into it yet though, so I'm sure it will only get better.

Toyota will look to the Service manual which, depending on engine load when captured, allows 200+ misfires before being considered abnormal.

How to I use the data logger on flash manager? Will it auto connect or do I have to manually fill in the fields for ecu/vin?

    Nope. Done everything I need.

I also used Carista to change settings on my truck like the seatbelt chime and blinkers

It will auto connect. Just start and stop log. The viewer has some cool features, you can mark and cut sections of the log you don't need.

Maybe I have misfires. Maybe I don’t. My truck runs better than ever before so I have no reason to go looking for issues.

Also the truck always runs better after some miles and things settle in. Stop flashing all the time and just drive your damn truck.

It’s like a stiffy. If it works, just be happy you got it,leave it alone. Don’t start looking for misfires.

The performance tune on its own does not include gear lock.

Gear lock is an option added to the performance tune.

2 seperate files. You can flash performance without gear lock but you can’t have gear lock without performance.

    Thank you.

I kinda feel stupid because as soon as I posted I did this weird thing called "reading" and found it on the OVTune website. Doh.

** Side note. My flash is taking forever to install. Dang.

Don't overthink it man. OVtune has done that for us and they are all documented for us to just read and follow. Hehehe
