    @OVTune I actually clicked identify before flashing 1.02 and it said it was unsuccessful but the flash still worked. Why's that?

    the software will allow you to brute force flash, but you shouldn't unless necessary. The identification is just to determine that you have a solid connection to the ECU.

    Dude..you should try it. Double horsepower if you load 1.02 for engine AND tranny.
    Flashed Gear box back with this original file;
    "896650401200_89665-04012-20170820-160544.bin" if that sounds correct.

    So for those that haven't experienced a WOW moment yet with 1.02 but saw a noticeable improvement with the first tune and waiting to let the 1.02 tune fully adapt but still notice some gains over the first tune, would it be safe to say that those of us getting our first tune being1.02 from stock should see a big difference ....?

    No. But in the future always make sure it identifies before flashing

    Brief first impressions.

    Power: WHOA. This is that difference I was hoping for. Butt Dyno is pleased. More torque for sure. Didn't take it on a long stretch to get a full feel of the how linear/smooth it is yet compared to 1.01b. Power increase from stock to 1.01b felt subtle. Going from 1.01b to 1.02 feels noticeable, so going from stock to 1.02 should be very noticeable.

    Shifting: Initial map that it's using after reset is definitely different than before right after a reset. Shift points and willingness to upshift earlier feels more like after it's learned some, but not yet turned to total crap shifting...so if this stays more consistent, I'll be happy.

    Surging: none noted yet. However, the surging in that 1200-1500 range I was seeing when the upshifting early was happening and holding both on stock and 1.01b seems to be gone. May come back after some learning, but I put it right in that sweet spot where it was holding the gear at those rpms under load and it was smooth as butter. That makes me happy.

    I didn't notice any changes in idle or throttle response from 1.01b. Throttle might have felt a bit different due to shift points being used, but throttle sensitivity felt the same as 1.01b.

    This was all only in D. Didn't use ECT at all yet.

    Definitely need more time with it to get a better feel but for those of you coming from stock to 1.02, you will be very happy.

    I have installed 1.02 from 1.01b today. So far I have only put about 20 miles on it. I wanted to throw this up here just as a record that I haven't had the major shuddering issue. I should also note that my truck is completely stock. From the limited miles I have put on it I haven't felt much of any difference from 1.01b but we will see as more miles add up.
