    I’ll rephrase. Wish I wasn’t paying in $1200.

Mmm...kind of...I could have sworn I got gearlock when I flashed it with performance...atleast the shifting on S was holding the gear. The truck did take tf off tho. The only way I can really describe it is that it drives like the single cab silverado my dad had for work in the sense that it just kinda takes off...make me wanna try 93 although I feel like if I try 93 and its "a bull" like others have said it might ruin 87 for me. Thanks for tag

I just switched from the 87 base tune (about 500 miles on it) to the 87 performance tune and I gotta day the tip in is nice for maintaining speed. I could definitely get use to it after driving around a bit. You just don’t press the gas as much, so the potential to get even better mileage when cruising is possible. Holds 60 nicely.

The reason 95% of us aren't complaining is because we are enjoying the hell out of driving are trucks!!!:muscleflexing:

Also, I did notice a big difference in the driving habits after clearing the ECU using Techstream. I would like to give kudos to whoever posted the instructions for downloading and installing Techstream a few posts back because it was just about as easy as flashing.

Im officially 04B04. Took a while to get an updated and working techstream. Performance tune is pretty nice, Tip in is perfect i think folks are just used to the slow tacoma tip in. Gear lock is a good feature but not as responsive of a shift as i hoped for, but its truck not a race car i guess. Though that increased redline is really fun and caught me off guard.

How would u compare 1.05 tip in vs 1.03? I'm still on 1.03. Thought about updating to latest tsb but don't want to regret it.

Give it some time, if it's anything like 1.03 that I'm still running, it mellowed
out quite a bit, still feel all the power but the aggressive tip in is gone, it's just
like it should be, it settled in perfectly after a few weeks on it.
