04b02 performance coming out today? Asking for my friend

 

I still get to itemize just barely as a single guy. And a home office deduction so dealing with depreciation now. However income up 5.6% and tax rate down 0.32% so winning I guess.

 

Just update to 04B04 via TechStream and you won't have to wait!

 

I thought business use of home and unreimbursed business expenses disappeared with the new tax law? Maybe I’m missing something.

 

This is what people need to look at,not whether you are getting a smaller refund or have to pay in. Compare your effective tax rate against last years..

ETA FWIW my income increased,I took that increase along with the tax cut that we got from payroll deductions and rolled it into my IRA contribution. My refund was actually $7.00 more than last years...lol

 

You can only claim it if you are self employed I believe sole proprietor LLC.

Yes it did on the federal side but still able to deduct on the state side. At least I can in NY...
