For everyone on an older version other than 04B03 go get your trucks updated. You will know what update you have by clicking Identification on PCM Flash.

 

@OVTune, between 04B10, 11 and 12 M/T versions which is the newest? Assuming 04B12...

Yes it would be very helpful if anyone with an automatic truck makes sure there vehicle is on the LATEST toyota firmware version (04B03).

These "stuttering" issues that are associated with 04B02, is it prevalent in 'D" as well as ECT mode? I only drive in ECT...and have't really noticed any symptoms(yet).

 

Took it for another drive with highway included this time. This thing is just smooth now. Very refined and feels like a stock tune should. I can feel throttle changes @bshammer0 mentioned earlier in D. It's a little less sensitive now but that does help differentiate driving styles. It's a bit more comfortable to drive if you're trying to get more mileage with it. (which I just got 25 mpg on a quick trip from the gas station)

ECT still feels great when you're wanting more spirit out of it. In either scenario, shifting feels really good still...nothing particularly noteworthy because it just feels...normal. Like it should.

Looking forward to future features, but as is, this is a fantastic product.

 

S mode. I havent tried it on d mode with the 1.02 but with the 1.01b it does it on both mode.

I will try it later with d mode and will report... If its also doing it on d mode, I will try to record a video for you. Can't do it on S mode as I only have two hand

Is the only way to check your current firmware version is to use the dongle in the kit with the software? I'm order #2022 and want to make sure I have the latest firmware.

Truck was at the dealership in July for 20k service. I looked on my paperwork from previous visits and the TSBs were done but no mention of a firmware version.

 

Just took the truck out after work to replicate the shudder and wow. I definitely have it. Was only able to replicate it going 1900 RPM at 60 mph. But I felt it a few times and did not like it one bit. Parking until there is a fix.

 

If it's with the TCU...is torque converter lockup pulsing on and off?

 

Flagged mine as well, but just turned off Real-time Protection and it launched and installed fine
