I called my guy at the dealer and he said that the TSB doesn’t apply to Texas made trucks from the early 2016 because they came with a uniquely different sensor. I even sent him the TSB sensor part #. o_O

This is why a lot of people just bought them and replaced it themselves. It’s a cheap part and few minutes of effort to install.

Downloading Techstream and getting it to work seems to work fine. Getting the 04B04 file from the CUW to work with the Techstream is where I’m stuck.

Just for piece of mind you can change it yourself or keep a new one in the glove box. Very simple swap out.

If you have TS to the point where it can communicate with your truck then you should just have to launch the correct CUW for your model year. The update is fully contained within the CUW

It depends which crack you used. There’s one that’s mostly automated that does not work for some reason. The other where you replace the file and enter the key works just fine.

Just double click the CUW to install (launch outside of TS).

    Currently 04B03.
My 2017 TRD was built in Mexico.
A dongle user. On 1.05 93 (runs awesome!).
So from what I can gather, I can get the dealership to flash me to 04B04?
I complain my truck runs bad or I flash back to stock and complain it runs bad?

I'm running Version 13.3 of techstream and can't find the misfire count parameter in the OBDII data list. I see all the other engine data that you can monitor but not one for misfire count. What am I missing?

This is the one that tells me there is a Virus attached.... I guess if the "virus" is blocked I get an incomplete download and therefore the root of my troubles ?

But, what of this virus ??

    What is RDN/Generic.rp Virus?

RDN/Generic.rp is newly found as system virus detected as Trojan Virus. This vicious computer malware is a very big risk for all Windows OS computers system. It may smoothly insert your PC without your knowing and perform severe damaging activities in your machine. It may also block your anti-virus software and windows firewall program to stay safe for a long time in to your PC. It may slow down your system speed and causes sluggish performance. You may detect it very difficult to do any task on your system. Most of the system programs may keep freezing and often fail to work. RDN/Generic.rp may totally degrade your system speed and leads to serious problems.

worked for me. Follow step by step instructions in above link. The .cuw file will work with this version.

If I am just getting a routine service. (Oil change) Do I need to flash back to stock? Or can I leave it on the 91tune?

Don’t need to unless you wear a foil hat and are worried about it
