Can those shift parameter maps be duplicated? So 16 maps are still in place but all 16 have the same parameters? Or is that what you did in consolidating as much as it could be?

Just had to run a quick errand and in trying to put the weirdness into better clarity, what I think is different now is that it almost seems to skip a gear between 4-6. It seems to shift pretty normally up to 3rd, but then just goes shift shift 6th. I'll have to validate the RPMs and actual gears with my OBD when I have more time but that's what feels different about it on mild acceleration whereas it actually did hold the gears a bit longer on 1.01b. Again - need learning before I can say this isn't temporary and it ISN'T the end of the world, but is odd...

Edit: but DAMN that throttle :) makes me very happy.

Got this specifically for the tune. No need to disable anything. Its small and portable to keep it inside glove compartment.

I hear you, but if the schizophrenic highway shifting is not fixed it's just not worth almost $800 to me. I'll wait a while hoping OVTune can sort that out but if not I'll be test driving (extended test drives!) 2019 Rangers and Frontiers next year (maybe Tundras if they finally update it). That Ranger Raptor with the 3.2 diesel looks to be the dogs bollox! :D

@OVTune I've got a big drive leaving in about an hour, will the files be ready by then or should I flash to 1.01b for the drive?

I said I would be test driving 2019 model year trucks next year...reading, it's hard for some folks.

I'm posting here so OP which is trying to make that money knows what will get people to buy it. Does that meet your standard? If not, let me know so I can try to catch one of those flying f#@&s I don't give and pm it your way...

I'll write a bigger in depth review later. So far, no studdering, shifting is didferent (feels kinda like a lightened ECT PWR mode) and the engine seems powerful.

    Still not 1GR-FE.

I think its funny how some people over analyze the shifting. Arent 5th and 6th overdrive gears anyways? makes sense to me that the truck will hunt for the optimal gear unless your driving flat terrain with no wind. the shifting is fine to me. throttle response and downshift quickness is why I bought the tune and that is for sure night and day better.
btw, I cant spell read or grammer stuff right

Pretty sure he's not worried about demand right now - we're keeping him super busy and rolling in $$$ for now. But your callouts on the shifting are real and will certainly push many more over the edge when he gets it worked out which I feel he will in time - but again the demand right now is so high he's been focused on the MVP release to build some momentum. And doing a damn good job at that I must say!

Stay tuned in though - think you'll be happy if/when you decide to take the plunge. We do all love each other.

We'll keep it classy (for) San Diego :)
