No - not running. Ignition "on", but engine not started.

 

that's the correct way to do it

 

The ignition has an "on" mode and an "accessory" mode. It was "on". You know - things like "low oil pressure" warnings because when it is "on", there is supposed to be oil pressure. That kind of "on". It was the low oil pressure warning sound that made me look at the dash and realize it was "on".

 

It is supposed to be on. It will not read in accessory mode. You did it right.

How many Are actually complaining about shifting vs that have the tune. Mine is fine

 

Thanks @OVTune and @Rackness for straightening me out. Sorry OVTune for not getting it the first time you told me. It all seems to be good now that I am trying to read with the ignition "on" like I was supposed to. Geezzzz.... Brain fart...

 

Cool. I have the stock as well as 1.01b saved just in case I don't like 1.02

 

I have everything saved in folders on my desktop (don't rename the files).

 

Okay! Update before the weekend-

1.02 Final will have all 1.02 based updates, with 1.01B shift control settings. (04B03 users, you will have both 1.02 original and 1.02(B) so you can determine which shift pattern you like more)

04B03 - All files rewritten with 1.01B Shift control

04B02 - All files rewritten with 1.01B Shift control (and stutter fix)
+ 1.02 standard w/ TCU update

whew. one more round of mass emails and we are finally done



MT guys -

1.02 Standard and you control shifts. how lucky ;P

I'll be able to knock out all the MT files tonight since there isn't too many in comparison to the auto guys.

I second this. 95% of the reason I purchased the tune over the Labor Day weekend was for the expectations set that 1.02 was going to have much improved gear selection with the transmission. I don't care so much for the HP improvement aspect as the problem with the truck centers around gear selection by the transmission. If the "production" (1.02) is still running beta code on the transmission (1.01b) then I wouldn't have pulled the trigger on the tune.

 

as long as your truck is on toyotas latest release then this is no problem at all. (if it isn't thats OK you will just have to update the TCU too)

 

Well I and I'm sure many other will appreciate an early MT tune. Enjoy some time off!

 

I have 04B03 so I'm good now since looks like I'll get both versions to play with
