It will an available tune in the drop-down menu in Flash Manager, but you still have to initiate the download yourself. FM won’t “automatically pick up that it’s available and download”.

Ahh that's unfortunate. But engine load is similar to manifold vacuum right? I mean related to it so when load goes up vacuum goes down.

I believe engine load can be calculated from maf g/s against RPM, I think...

I would think “anytime” would mean we can turn the locker on and off at will including in 2wd and 4hi instead of just 4lo

You are using the mvci driver..... Don't.

Click setup > vim select and choose the open port option from the drop down. That is assuming you FM working and drivers installed for the tactrix adapter.

Do 4.88s do this? And since I’m OVTuned is this an issue still with 5.29s? That would help me make a decision between the 2 sizes. Haha

At this point, instead of trying to modify Toyota's disaster, wouldn't it be easier for you to just write your own engine/transmission tuning? This whole ECU/TCU deal seems so overly complicated, for no good reason at all. All some of us want is a throttle that is linear, no unnecessary limits to how the power is applied, simplified shift tables, and the ability to hold gears instead of constantly dancing. Does this stock ECU have the capability to be tuned like a standalone ECU like some other popular tuning platforms (Honda, Subaru, Mitsubishi, etc)?

That is what we are trying to do, but to do that we have to make many changes here and there to code.

Honda, Subaru, Mitsubishi stock ecus are flash tuned, same way.

Standalones as in "live tuning" (no flashing) No.
Some cars have a "live tuning" option which is really just replacing RAM values, then saving and flashing finished work.

I just think at higher speeds it would tear the diff lock sensor up. My only two cents.

Also excited about the new developments! Appreciate you continuing down this path!!

Looking forward to the 5.29 tune myself.:amen:

There is a very large difference between the two. All of the time would blow up the rear end or break a shaft.

Anytime would be great. Anytime I need extra traction without wanting to use 4wd, like a very steep transition that lifts a rear tire, off road.

Can I ask why everyone says all the time would break shafts or destroy the third? I ran a welded diff in my 85 4Runner with 35” Bfg AT tires for years as my DD and crawler. It had at least 70k miles on it and never broke anything. Yes it did wear out tires and made some fun tire bark/chirp on turns but never broke anything. I rebuilt the front and rear axles at one point and all the internals looked fine.

Safety note: locked rear and wet roads are dangerous if you don’t drive nice.

A full dump? Does that mean you now have access to Espresso mode?

Nothing like having access to all the code. Well, maybe understanding all the code ranks right up there too.

A lot of people dont have experience with spools or welded rear ends, but have heard that they are dangerous, and will immediately explode on asphalt, so they feel it their duty to protect the lame from injury, death, or broken parts.
