Give it a rest Chipis. You crack me up

$6k for a turbo setup doesn’t exactly sell itself, Turbo wants are the minority

I can agree with that. Not sure the life of the taco would like it as much. Turbos make heat. Heat is the enemy of longevity

You could have a boosted taco and a kid with bad teeth. Or both kids with good upper teeth and a boosted taco.

I have 4.56s. I opted for that instead of 4.88s due to the smaller rear-end. I was worried about pinion angles getting too steep w/ 4.88s. Whether that worry was unfounded, I don't know. I will say that even with 4.56s in the 8" rear end, I did grenade the rear end and ended up with a whole new 9" so it made the point of 4.56s moot.

    Dang! How’d you do that?

Did the 4.56’s drive nice though? Noticeable

Probably due to me taking washboard desert roads a bit too quickly, thinking i was a trophy truck haha!

It was a huge difference over the 3.91s in that was with the stock tune back in 2016. I could actually stay in 6th gear on the highway. MPG was better as well since I wasn't standing on the throttle all the time. But like was said by someone earlier, combined with the tune, it now drives very well. Note, I'm on 295/70/17s and lots of armor and weight.

I won't throw it back in your face, but they do offer two packages, one with and one without the cable.

If you have a Tacoma, and your brother has a Tacoma, or you have two or three Tacomas all of your very own... you only need ONE cable to flash the tune. You wouldn't need to buy a separate cable for each vehicle. :)

I went from 04b02 to 04b04 because I had to try the performance tune. I didn't like it so I dropped back down to the base tune. The difference in the base tune using 87 between b02 and b04 is night and day.
