Gotcha. I didn’t know if there needed to be a settling time similar to what is suggested after the tunes.

when you guys get this finished please "identify" the ECU ID with the software and send it to me. Really hoping it isn't another ecu update from toyota.....

 

At least they can't update the ECU OTA...I'd have to tinfoil it and encase it in lead.

Already updated the ECU file Opened the PCM flash attached the performance file clicked on “write” and it appeared “unsuccessfully”

 

I want this, but I’m not sure I know how to do it. Are there good instructions with the purchase?

 

I recommend reading the first post carefully, several times, then visit the OVT website / blog for further information about the tune and instructions. Then you can decide if the process is feasible for you.

IMO, it's a straight forward process, with minimal risk, as long as you read the instructions and educate your self prior to purchasing and flashing tune.

 

There’s a video in the first post that goes through the entire process start to finish. It’s super easy

There is always room for improvemt. If @OVTune puts the software (obviously not the binaries) on GitHub or Gitlab, I'd be interested in contributing.

 

Do you have a head unit that pulls odb data? If so you have to disable it

Also can try clearing dtc then flashing again.

 

Why would they open up their moneymaker for public use?

 

I deleted techstream and others files that came with the techstream.. plugged it and it did work!!

Have the performance file! Will compare the performance vs base and gearlock.
