Anyone know when the custom tuning will be available or is that no longer planned? I noticed it's been removed on the OVTune website however I remember it used to be listed as one of the features included with the tune when I purchased mine last year.

So more like next year? After reading OVTune's latest blog release it seems they'll be busy for 2019 with 1.06 and perfecting the rest of the tune. Nowhere does it mention custom tuning available for this year which is why I was curious. Even if it was just a cookie cutter custom tune like submit mods such as tires/gears/exhaust/intake etc and receive a custom tune based on that + some data logging I think a lot of users could still benefit a lot from it especially for those of us who are heavily modded. However I do understand there are more urgent matters at hand and heavily modded users are likely a small percentage of user base and most would probably be fine without custom tunes.

That being said I am currently running 91 base, it was the main deciding factor for me to keep my 2018 thanks to this tune. Miles better than stock but do I believe it can be improved with custom tuning? Absolutely.

You’ll learn that OVtune will over hype and under deliever on a lot of things, custom tunes included. He promises a lot but hardly makes good on them. No one is expecting anything it’s just that when he, himself sets the bar so high we are disappointed when he doesn’t do what he had previously said he was going to do. The majority of us here are very patient but when he says one thing and does another it can be frustrating.

 

Aside from delays, when has he "says one thing and does another"? So far he has done or is working on everything he has promised. He also responded to you and others regarding the stuttering fix multiple times, saying that it has been fixed, but not released.

Just because he’s said something and you can’t have it TODAY isn’t going back on his word. This is still in development…
