Can anyone point me in the direction of what the shifting issues were that were fixed in the latest update?

@OVTune I have seen that others have an issue with shift flare. I have it also with the stock tune and the 1.05 tunes. I have the laszyist 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. I checked the fluid level last week an had to add about 3/4 quart also cleared the tranny learned values using techstream but still there. Is there anything you can implement in the future?

Is anyone familiar with this Techstream screen? I have replaced the main menu... uninstalled... reinstalled... stuck here.

*pretty sure* Magnusson is just using HP Tuners.

Anyways we aren't directly competing with anyone. Just doing our own thing, offering what we can do.

I never knew what the term was, but I’m experiencing significant shift flare on the highway, it’s goes bezerk on a slight incline shifting down from 6th to 5th and not kicking into 5th for several seconds. Then does dance in and out of 5th but never reaching another gear.

How is towing in base 87? I know it is probably in this thread, but can't seem to find it. I have the tow package and trans cooler on the 3rd gen. I'm assuming I can operate with factory tow rating specs in mind?

towing is way better than stock, both in terms of fuel economy and performance

Got back in my truck after driving that loaner. So much better. Actually moves when you ask it to. And nobody at the dealer questioned anything. Must not have been an experienced Tacoma pilot working on it.

I still have a couple minor "imperfections" about the tune, but after driving that stock tune again, I refuse to complain.

    I'm on 1.05 87 performance fyi.

I towed last week my little jetski with 87base and it was anyoing without activated ECT.
With ECT on it was better and the gear hunting was less.
With the tune they switch to fast to the 5th if you reach more than 40mph, but too powerless for towing. That was the reason to go back to 91base

Have you flashed a 1.05 tune?

If you’re having these significant issues and you have reason to believe that the 1.05 tune is the problem it would be better to submit a ticket to OVTune zendesk complete with details.

From what you describe as “going bezerk” on slight inclines sounds like stock, not tuned.
