There will be complete details of how it all works when it's released. It's not any time soon.

Nah, really only measure 33", 285 75 17. I think 4.88 is Plenty. Highway is great with tune. Just wants to get to 5th and 6th when not revving high enough to stay in those high gears. Once Mat does 4.88 option and more control over trans. shifting, I think will be all good. And I am not complaining, just saying I figured a way to make it work pretty good for now with what Mat has provided us, and info to pass along to others with similar driving experiences. :)

    Y'all complain wayyyy too much.

There is absolutely no way hey can create tunes to satisfy every person exact needs.

Adapt to the tune that fits you best. Remember the tune was to fix drivability, not make this a race truck.

Does this still leave gearlock tied to the ect button? Or did I just buy a Meso pro knob with ect button that I need to sell?

The non adaptive shifts exactly the same as the adaptive. Locks itself in 4th and even going down hill i have to constantly bump the throttle to get it out and to shift up. Pedaling it is a world of difference between the two but both versions of cruise are back to stock for me and I hate the truck every time I get on the highway

The knob is still useful! OV should use the ECT input on the ECU to contol maps IMO

That's what we have here... 87, 89, & 93. I've tried the 93P tune and it was way too jumpy for me. You're missing out if you haven't tried 91B. That's the one I'm using now.

I've been using the 91 perf for quite a while now... it seems way more shift happy than the stock tune ever was. If I use ECT around town, it keeps the RPMs around 2k, vs lugging around 1.2k without ECT. However, when you hit freeway speeds with ECT on, it jumps up to 6th gear and will not downshift, despite throttle input.

I'll be switching to the 91 base this week... will see if that resolves my issues.

People that are trying the tune for the first time. Should always do the base tune first. Hearing people complain who have only tried performance tunes, don't realize the tip in is a huge difference from base to performance. Going from stock to a performance tune is going to be drastically different. The performance tune isn't for everyone, and some driving styles. As mentioned many times, each time you load a tune file. To get the best results. You need to at least run a full tank or two, so it will settle in, and the driver will also have adjusted to the variances.

I love how Mat shares something he’s working on an people go crazy. How can he answer specific questions on something he’s developing and hasn’t finished yet? :frusty:

What octane are you using then for the 91 tune? I assume 89?

    That would be bad.
You need to use 91 or 93 octane in the 91 tune.

    93. I've pretty much run 93 even with the stock tune, since day one. I've been running Mat's tunes (all on 93) since late September of 2017.

    ECT button is still useful.
Yes the ECT button can be used to switch maps, but then we will need to find another way to control gear locking.
