I wonder if this will be true for guys with 4.88’s because they can hold 6th gear and feather the pedal to hold speed better without actually using more fuel???

 

Dongle guys still need to use Techstream for these though?

Wait.....you don’t already have a dyno? The picture on your website Shows vehicles being tuned with a dyno. Unless that’s not yours and you have to borrow one which must suck!

The new one we are getting is best for building calibrations.

 

I'll presume the standard recommendation when installing a new tune is "Clear Learned Values"? Not sure when one would "Clear All Memory". Guidance appreciated as my cable is arriving today - I know, I still need to await the new p5Flash Utility update.

 

dunno. i suppose it all depends on if it can actually run in 5/6 gear at speed.

When i had my auto it almost always ran in 4th gear once you hit 65 mph and fuel economy was garbage. Below that I could hit 5th and 6th and fuel economy was great.

 

This thread is killing me. Im so on the edge for this kit (money is tight). Sounds like awesome work being done.

Seems like the tune with 4.88 gears would be mint condish with 32” tires

 

What does clear value and clear memory do?

Do we need to download the EROM 2.0 patch and upload it to the truck?......

 

Which sucks because around here the limit is 75 so my mileage blows goats.

 

I'm still stock everything beside the ovtune and my mpg is the same 20mpg (+-.5). But i do drive faster on freeway with ovtune. Before ovtune 65mph because car shift like crazy above 65. After ovtune 75-80 mph no downshift at all.

 

its way better with the gearing in the manual. i can usually still hit 19+ at 75/80 depending on conditions. my auto would see like 14 mpg at 75.
