If your that worried about .5 mpg you should probably trade your taco in on a Prius

So if I buy this, do I also have to buy a new laptop?

We have a 10yr old laptop running Win10 that lives for the tune and to do taxes. It takes 10min to boot and get Toyota Flash up. It works just fine.

All you need is something basic to do the deed and not die mid-flash.

Note that @OVTune is working on the possibility of calibrating the speedo for different tire sizes.

I got all of my Taco armor installed this week and I was expecting to see 16mpg but i got over 20 in my normal commute. Added mud tires and 500lbs of extra weight with no change in day to day mpg?

Noticed that the truck has a hard time smoothly starting off the line now, kinda jumps as i have to press the pedal harder. Gradual inclines are worse too, had to switch to S mode with ECT today to get it going smoothly. 30 mile commute with moderate traffic, 20mpg, Im stoked! What else you got OVTune?

I used a GPS app to see what my actual speed was, then i took the speedometer value and divided it by the actual value and the input the percent difference using the hypertech module. So speedo at 60/ actual 63 = 5% difference

    Two questions:

The tune says “for off road only”, but I see guys posting about their commute. Is it truly for off road only or can this be driven in the street?

Also, when updates come out, do you have to buy them or are they free with initial purchase of tune?

Off road only is to cover the company's ass.
The tune has passed emissions tests.
    Dealers can't detect it.
    Updates are free.

Its a 2017 Edicion Especial 4x4, here is the top line Tacoma, no Pro for Mexico .... ECU ID 04B23-AT

I know all 4 doors Tacomas are build in Mexico but with different ECU.
