Can I do that with the flash manager? Is it going to F shiz up? Cause all this truck has on it is a cat back exhaust and that’s it. Oh and it’s a v6 automatic.

Darn I guess no shutter fix today, I wonder if it's doing damage to the torque converter/drivetrain because it sure feels like it does.

You have to dig around this thread to find the file but you're going to need techstream in order for the file to work. I could be wrong. Someone will chime in.

How many out there have the 91 performance tune? how is it day to day?

Is there a 91 base tune as well or is that only for 87?

I like the 91 performance tune. There is also a 91 base that is pretty darn good too.

Not strictly true. My DCSB '17 Pro 6MT was built in Texas.

Side note, it also appears that probably all 6MT's are built in Texas too

oh nice, looking around on the thread, someone said you have to baby the throttle a little more on the 91 performance tune? How is your MPG on the performance tune?

Other than minding the tip in especially on wet roads, I'm getting 20mpg. Stock rig.

You can either do it yourself via techstream as I see another member gave you a link with all the information to. It's fairly east, but if you didn't want to go that route, you can always take it to the dealer and tell them you are having shifting issues as described in their tsb, and they should update you to the current ECU.

For the file mat sends once u register, do you get status updates or it just comes one day out of the blue? Hoping the timelines in their email are realistic. Need to take this thing cross country shortly and would love to bavr this squared away by then. If not, life goes on

I'm geniunely curious if you're purposely not using the file that fixed it for you or just trying to cause more stir on the forum? This issue as stated by many even exists outside of the tune. Even toyotas TSB directly talks about it, yet their own TSB doesn't fix it.

Please can you help me understand how your

What the feeling is, is at a certain point (speed, accelerator) the torque converter is unlocking / half locking and it cycles this locking at these certain speeds and rpm / accelerator angle.

As soon as our new version of P5Flash is wrapped up, it's all released. That way everyone who does flash can immediately clear all values to have a completely clean, fresh flash and new learning routine. Eliminating all possible cause for possibility of issues remaining.

There is a method to what we are trying to do, and why it has not been released yet.

By the way. Toyota seemed a little pissed when I told them not to do my sensor recall. I told them it took me three weeks to recalibrate it. It works perfectly now, not to touch it.
