If I understand correctly, FOB is a Fully Otto cycle (vs. the stock Atkinson cycle). It's much better for boosted trucks.

FOB is for the manual transmission, stock tune is labeled as stock.

I don't think this is correct. You can select FOB as either a MT or an AT tune. I'm pretty sure FOB specifically stands for "Fully Otto, version B".

    Edit:
Here are some earlier posts discussing it.

I have not attempted that yet. I just assumed since it was there in the drop-down, it was an option.

Here we go, info straight from their website (spoiler: you were right):

Options that are available today from our Flash Manager:

Base - This is the base tune for both AT and MT. Designed for better response and better MPG.

Performance - Automatic Transmission only Performance Oriented tune with enhanced response, 6800 RPM rev limiter, and changes to throttle control.

GearLock - Automatic Transmission only Performance tune with ECT Gear Locking

FOB- Manual Transmission Only Tune with modified cylinder filling control to greatly enhance low rpm driving and response, while maintaining better response and torque from low RPM to high RPM.

How can i find out what version I have? I got a TSB done in October but not sure which one. Can the dealership provide me with this information? or is it under settings?

I'm going to be pulling the trigger today and just want to be positive I have the correct version needed for the tune.

If you don't have an obdII reader, you can go to an auto parts store and ask them to read it for you.

Yes, after some confusion, FOB is a MT only tune.

No need worry. It's a 2017, every version is supported from 2017. Once you get the hardware from OV then you can read the ECU to see which specific version to flash

Oh nice that's the one I plan on doing. Lots were saying the performance is fun but was a little too aggressive for daily driving.
