I jumped on board and decided to get the tune! It arrives today and was VERY excited to install it but just noticed on my order it states "manual" and I have an automatic!!! I emailed @OVTune but know they are busy. Does anyone know if this is just a software switch they can make or do I have to order a whole new kit? If so, and if there are no refunds, anbyone want to buy my manual transmission edition!? Crap!!!

Yes a software switch is all it is,cable and adapter should be the same,a quick email to Mat at zendesk along with your system ID/registration info should get you squared away.

You're fine. All you need is the kit which is what you got. Now, you just download the software and the correct AT tunes. Makes no difference that you bought the tune for MT.

Ya, for me it was too much. I do drive in stop and go traffic and that touchiness of the pedal was a bit too annoying after an hour in traffic. People say it's better for trucks with big tires (I have 35s and some added weight) and it was still too much. Some people like the quick throttle response, feels more sporty I guess but I know my truck is a truck and will never perform like some of my past "fun" vehicles nor would I expect it to, I didn't buy it for that purpose. to me a truck is a vehicle that carries stuff and can accommodate people not a passenger car that can accommodate stuff in the bed (Ridgeline). Toyota fell short on the driveability aspect though and OVTune addresses that with consistent transmission behavior and more torque. Everything else the tune provides is icing on the cake

Since it first got released in June of '17. Been through every version that he's offered and they all keep getting so much better. Was worth the price from day 1

Everyone saying tip in is too much for performance tunes, run it for at least one full tank of gas and it will settle down.

Drives much better now and ECT is the only thing coming close to being a bit too much.

The tip-in on the 87 or the 91 Performance tunes never settled down for me after 3 tanks of gas each.

I ran it for about 10 tanks. Tip in was still a bit much. Especially in traffic, it would buck like a bronco in stop n go, and really no way to feather the throttle. I tried many a times, and would still be jumpy at the very slightest touch of the pedal. I loved everything else about it, but since I have to drive in traffic basically everyday it eventually got a little too annoying.

Oh awesome I'm glad we had a conversation, gives me more confidence in purchasing this. So with the base 91 tune does ECT essentially become the performance 91? Or in your opinion is 91 performance more aggressive than ECT.

I have a few thousand miles on the 93 performance tune and it's just as touche as it was when first flashed.

I don't think it really becomes the 91 perf as I believe that 91 base with ECT just raises the shift points a little and gives the throttle a little more pep but nothing like the performance tune. Base plus ECT is like the middle ground between the 2 tunes and I'm happy with it, just want to try a less tip in version of performance.
I believe it toned down for you, for me it didn't. Your truck is built different than mine so I wouldn't expect that the tune would perform the same on yours as it does on mine plus personal preference is a huge factor. I can't stand the jerkiness of the tip in on 35s with weight plus 4.88 gears in stop and go traffic. In normal non traffic driving it isn't so bad but I live in Hawaii and traffic is a very real issue every single day 40D91FDE-1A5E-451D-976F-C16E89AA4667.jpg

My issue with tip-in is not that it's too much but that it is a dead-pedal then ON. With more liner control (if possible with this crap DriveByWire) then it's perfect as is. Perhaps this is one of those behaviors that varys some across trucks but same here 10+ tanks on the same tune and it's just too much "all at once" with a start of "nothing" in my rig. Perhaps I need to add a few hundred lbs of metal and tires.

Just got my tactrix cable in the mail, today. Waiting on my reg key.

In the meantime, I updated to TSB 0062-18. Already a huge difference in driveability... and OVT or supposed to be beyond this? I'm frickin excited.
