What causes the top speed limit to be 90mph on 5.29 gears?

It will downshift, but only when the RPM drops enough. But yes, if you want it to stop trying to switch between gears, it will hold them.

Hey, friend! Welcome to OVTune. I have not tried gearlock yet (only two weeks ahead of you), but my understanding is it is the gear selection control of MT with an “override” if you’ve forgotten how to clutch an downshift at low rpm.

What I have loved the most, so far, is the added torque down low (under 2k rpm) which lets me stay in big gears and save fuel. Second is the more linear throttle response.

Per our previous conversations, I think you will like this.

Wow! Wouldn't that be wonderful if I could start the truck without having to step on the brake... like I could with my 2011 Armada with keyless start?
Walk up to the Armada on a blazing hot summer day and simply reach in and start it up for A/C, then walk around back and start loading groceries...
@OVTune could this be possible?

Upgrading my crappy HP Red Laptop's hard drive to an SSD. Will this create any problems with OvTune's registry? Just want to know if any problems will occur with my laptop's hardware after changing hard drives. Thanks

I started a thread about the ridiculousness of having to start your car twice( once remotely, then when you open the door the car shuts off then you have to start it again)if you have a remote start installed

Sometimes you guys ask for some pretty weird features. If the ECU does not control it, I cannot do it.

I think the ECU does, it relies on signal input from the door switch being open to kill the truck with remote start

And input of the brake being pressed to start. AT.

It would be pretty killer if you could bypass both.

*Edit - I know you can not remove the driver door switch or else the truck does some funky stuff. (Ask me how I know lol)

Actually, I find it pretty weird that I have to step on the brake, considering that the vehicle is already in park.
But I thought maybe the "foot on brake" test was in the ECU. Sorry... I guess it's not.

It's a Toyota safety feature, oddly, other manufacturers don't kill a running truck
when you open the door after using remote start. Would be nice if ours did the
    same.

I would assume all Toyota's are the same, no? I know Ford and Dodge both stay
running when you open the doors.

Sorry, I forgot to mention an important piece of info. I'll be swapping hard drives, upgrading from a hdd to an SSD, using a clone feature. After it's cloned, I'll sincely be switching drives, theoretically changing nothing after the job is complete. Thanks again
