No prob. I watched this forum for awhile before I pulled the trigger awhile back. Has been well worth it to me.

I like the option of gearlock on the performance tune but I don’t like how it’s tied to ECT. I’d like to pretend to have a manual but having to deal with the insane throttle sensitivity at the same time is sorta annoying

No worries, I have not driven my truck long enough to pin point any shifting problems, but I will be here telling everyone about them when that happens

I got an email 36 hours ago that my order is “on the way” but it’s been in a “Shipment Ready for UPS” status since then which only means the shipping label has been printed but if it were actually on the way UPS would have picked it up yesterday. Printing a shipping label is not the same as on the way. I’m not too concerned but it’s not “on the way” until UPS picks it up.

Is everyone who preordered the handhelds getting this email? Just asking because I haven't seen any emails regarding a refund.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I email the contact email a few weeks ago. Was given a few options but said I would like to wait. Great customer service IMO. No ETA but I know he's doing all he can to get them. Plus now that he has many new upgrades coming I'd rather wait anyway.

Man, I was like you, waiting on the handhelds, but I finally couldn’t wait any longer. Bought the tune in March and have been running 87 performance ever since with a smile on my face every time I get in the truck.
It’s very easy to flash and I already had a laptop. I’m so glad I didn’t continue to wait!!

Your shipping label has been printed and my guess is they are waiting for a batch of OBDII Cables to arrive from their manufacturer to fill your order. You'll just have to hang tight.

Honestly I'd forgotten multiple times that I'd pre-ordered. I'm comfortable with waiting. I just haven't received any indication of cancelling the pre-orders other than the few comments Mat made the other day. Someone had mentioned getting an email :notsure:

I didn't ask for a refund, I just got the email from Paypal notifying me that it had been issued by OVTune. There was no input from me.

Yeah, I know. I’m just ready to get it installed. I’ve got everything ready but can’t do anything without the tactrix cable.

See if there's another member with the tune in the Austin area that would be willing to let you use their cable. I'm sure there's a few out there .

Good idea but I think I'm going to wait because my plan is to first apply the TSB then drive it for a couple days and see if I notice a difference. After that I'm going to try the 91 base tune first and drive that for a week or so then try the 87 base and determine which one I like better. This is going to take some time and I wouldn't want to borrow someones cable for an extended period.

That sounds like a good idea. But realistically you could meet up with someone, use their cable for 5 minutes to flash, and then you two could go on your separate ways. But try TSB, then I'm sure your cable will arrive in no time.

91 base is awesome. I just loaded 900lbs of mulch and bark nuggets (in bags) into the bed. My Dakars were straight and there was about 1/2” between my aftermarket bump stops and the frame. Drove 25 miles through rolling hills and got 18mpg!

Nice. Just flashed 93 Base. First commute got almost 24 mpg, think I had a tailwind normally it's been 18-19 on 87 Performance. Just gonna have to start filling up at COSTCO.

A certain yota driving member was causing a ruckus lately. A lot of that stuff and the ensuing back and forth has been cleaned up. He didn't get TW band, but maybe thread band?

    Dunno :notsure:

    Anyway, carry on
