thx, guess it's time to try one of the base tunes, I just assumed I'd be missing out on
    power using a base tune.

Still looking forward to HP & Torque numbers from Mat, I recall he was going
to use an external dyno for testing - anyone know if that's still his plan?

Butt dyno tells me 93 Base has more low/mid than 87 Performance. I haven't tested high end but probably more power there too.

around here, including the station I use is 87, 89 & 93 so I'm going to load 93
base this weekend. low & mid is what I like and while 87 does a pretty good job
I'd still like more power without the jerky tip-in my truck displayed on 93P.

    Then, I think you'll love 93 Base.

When flashing, you want to have truck turned to ignition, but not running. 2 presses of the start button w/o stepping on the brake. You don't want it on accessory. You don't want to turn truck off during the flash process.

To me the base tune is nice. The perf tune is like driving with the ECT button on and I now only actually use the ECT button on the highway.

So the OVTune can theoretically modify anything in the ECU right? Would it be possible to modify it such that a truck that has been remote started does not shut off the engine when the doors are unlocked?

I'm pretty sure he went through this a few pages back when someone
    else inquired about it.

I try and find one of his posts, then use the arrows above the quote button
to move from post to post, should be much quicker that way if you find his most
    recent and then hit <-

So you touched on it here. But did not say if it was a possibility or not of changing this behavior?

The truck is still locked even when remote started (the sequence locks the truck at least twice in most cases). Maybe your windows are rolled down? Even so they are taking a truck without the key (if they have the key there are other issues) so they won't get that far. This would be a nice option to have.

Just go to the first post and use the arrows from there. . .easier than trying to find some other post buried in the thread. :D

No sure what you're pointing out? It would still appear (to me anyway) that the question whether or not this is a possibility has not been answered by the vendor.

I think I saw that they have suspended orders while they are in the middle of a move or something, hopefully we'll hear more when that's done (12th?). I had remote start on the Avalon I just traded in and it was super irritating that the engine shut off when I unlocked the car. As far as a "safety" issue, it seems more a paranoid lawyer decision than an actual issue. And I'm not seeing it as a big "theft" thing either. As the owner of the vehicle I'd like the option.

it all works but I'd rather find a recent one as he posts often enough rather than
going through 2,215 pages of posts by starting from the OP.

Subject to interpretation of course, but I took Mat's response quoted below as a no.
