I have always placed the tune files in their own separate folder that I name so I avoid the confusion.

    Same.

Folder for tune version, then subfolder for octane.

Mat said above that he will use new filenames for future releases. That is all I needed to hear.

Right, but if Mat updates the tunes and doesn't change the filenames on his end, you have no idea if you're downloading an updated version or not.

Yeah really should be using a "build number" or date or something, even a third level to the version number would be helpful i.e. 1.05.345
I would hope whatever build or configuration management system they are using could give them something like this. Wouldn't even be out of the question to have it automagically produce the changelog to go with it.

I'm hopeful that some things will get cleared up after the 12th...

Its tough to appreciate these types of updates. Seems more appropriate to not say anything until it’s fully ready.

Sorry, we needed to get a few core components pushed out ahead of time, and didn't want people to post a bunch of questions in confusion. Everything else is only a few days away

OK, gotta ask (and I promise, not complaining).
1.05.1 is only a few days away, or is the 2.0.x update (also shown in Flash Manager) also only a few days away?

Just deciding how excited I should be

    (PS - I'd be happy if it's "just" 1.05.1)

“1.05.1” is a few days away, by May 12th. The EROM 2.0 update is end of summer.

So is there more in 1.05.1 than the shutter fix?

Also, whenever I see 2.0, people say erom 2.0. What does that mean? Do we have erom 1.05 now, or does erom refer to the flash manager or what?

I understand that, was thinking somone may know a little about what’s in it.

Based on the change log you linked, we’re already using erom in 1.05, so does erom 2.0 just reference the late summer version of the tune, and it’s safe to say we’re on erom 1.05 now?

Feel free to not post if you don’t have simple answers to a question please.
