I flashed to 1.05.1 87 base yesterday, coming off of 1.05 87 base. I Just drove across town for lunch and the truck is shifting like crap, jerky with dead/flat feeling right after shifts. It has never shifted this bad, even when new and or stock tune. Is this because I cleared all of the learned values? Will this get better?

those that do clear the LV say that it takes a couple hundred miles
    to settle in.

I’m not really interested in running the performance. I can not have hear lock with base.

@OVTune - I just wanted thank you for adding the ability to reset LV/AT in Flash Manager! It's so nice to have this functionality readily available in the app!

I know there is a certain procedure that has to be done. But I think it is checked from underneath the vehicle. My service department is great and has done everything that I’ve asked including the TSB for the ecu. I am looking forward to this flash settling in though.

I'm not touching mine, I am on 1.05 87 base and it's 90% perfect. The only thing still 'wrong' with my truck is the f'n damn thing always shifting to a gear that puts it the dreadful "1100 rpm lug", which seems to be from 30 mph to 50. I can remove this by using Shift Sense Pro (SSP), which i do, but then it's stuck at 2200 rpm when trying to maintain 45-50mph, not bad, but 2200rpm gets annoying at the other end of the scale, i may be picky, but shit, just give me 1600-1800 maybe?? Guess i should have bought a manual, damn, whatever, an engine with this kind of worthless torque should NEVER be operating at 1100rpm unless at cold idle or coasting down a hill! If Matt can work his magic and the next release advertises to remove this dreadful 1100rpm lug, then i will flash again, until then, my laptop is mothballed and i am using SSP until i someday get a new truck, and it sadly will unlikely be a Toyota unless they improve this crap.

    Hi All,

Anyone knows why I would not be able to clear AT..?
See my picture, I can do the LV successfully.

    Thanks

The only reason that I updated was to fix the low rpm shudder that happens every once in a while. Hopefully it will all come together after a couple of hundred miles, or I will flash back to 1.05.

All that has to happen is a shift map that stops upshifting ASAP. That appears to be impossible though. Even the "performance" tunes seem to be lugging around at 1100rpms. Shift Sense Pro has been a life saver, but not enough of a savior to make me keep the Tacoma.

It worked this time, I guess it's best to restart the truck and software if that happen.

    Thanks again

If you reset your truck's learned values when you did your most recent flash, then it's going to drive like absolute crap for probably a half to full tank's worth of gas. I got first hand experience with this when I applied the TSB to update to 04B04 (which has a side effect of clearing all learned values). For the first tank of gas, I couldn't believe how poorly it drove and shifted, Then the learning kicked in, and things smoothed out.

I flashed 1.05.1, started the truck. Turned off the truck, turned on ignition, reset both values. Turned off truck. Went back to what I was working on. At the end of the day I fired it up, let it idle for 10 min while loading stuff up and drove off. Ran great, shifted well. Fired it up this morning, ran great, shifted well. Maybe the 10 min idle helps?
