So I decided to revert back to the original 1.02 because I didn't get the chance to drive it on D mode(only at initial test). I dont like the way 1.02b shift on D mode, as it lags... We'll see how it goes.

As for ECT mode, for some reason I feel like the 1.01b have more power over the 1.02b. Any thoughts?

All this version talk is making me nervous lol
If I get my dongle by this weekend I wonder if I can opt for the 1.01B tune till everything with 1.02B gets sorted out

Well you're ignoring the masses that are saying 1.02b is fantastic, like dylon and myself for starters. Plenty others do too. With anything, there are a few circumstances that crop up. Its not a widespread failure or anything.

I hope it's the same for me,
My Tacoma was built May 2017 so I'm hoping I have the latest Toyota update as well to make things easier.

I have been running 1.02 now for around 350 miles. I find myself needing to downshift more compared to 1.01B on the same routes and same conditions. It still feels smooth in my truck, but still not as powerful feeling.

1.02 or 1.02b? Because if it's 1.02 it probably feels less powerful due to where the shift points are putting you.

Due to Mat being awesome and getting my tune back to me so quickly I put it on to drive the 4 miles to work this morning, it's so smooth! The biggest thing I've noticed is the downshifting when coming to a stop, it doesn't jerk in any way as it goes down the gears it's just smooth. I hated this as passengers heads would bob forward and it made me feel that they would say something about it. Couldn't test power as it was just traffic but the get up now is nice, I can get to speed without the truck having to downchange which is just ludicrous of Toyota.

Will let it learn some more and update.

I was waiting to put some more miles on my truck with 1.02 to make any comments.

I am with you though. 1.01b had great improvements in top end and moderate low end gains. The power felt very Linear but not nearly as smooth if that makes any sense. 1.02 has better low end power than 1.01b, but in 3rd gear with the accelerator on the floor it feels anemic from 2500 rpm up.

Just a PSA to all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with running 1.01 as your final revision. There are less changes, so think of it as "closer to stock" so it could be considered "safer" to those that think in this manner. If your truck drives better to you in 1.01 vs 1.02, stick to 1.01 and enjoy it.

    BUT.....
For newer orders (like mine at 2036) will we receive older the versions too? I don't think so.

That was aimed to those that do have it.

To the new customers, if you have a problem, just report it to Mat and he'll fix it. Don't worry.

Agree that 1.01b is a great release - it fixes most of what I hated about the stock tune. Busy shifting still there and occasionally annoying, however the shifts are so smooth I barely feel them vs. stock. Indeed I do hope to be able to take advantage of some of the refinements in 1.02b at some stage, but we also need to remember that Mat's working on a datalogger for us which will enable the custom fine tuning for our individual trucks once ready.

I take the same exact drive to work. Same speeds (40mph, 70mph, 65mph) using cruise control every time.

    Normal MPG (stock)

And today (1.02Butter). I feel like MPGs have been steadily rising since @OVTune came into my life.

I believe he is still working on it. 1.02 is a standard release but I don't believe final. He was trying to get a manual transmission truck on the Dyno. I don't know if he ever found one.
