Tuned or not these trucks are jerky. I tried all the tunes but the only fix for these 3rd gen Tacoma is a truck engine with torque. The tune can only do so much, I see it more like a ban aid. Been driving around with a rental rave 4 le as my truck in the shop for wind shield seal replacement man I enjoy driving that rav 4 10x more tuned or not 3rd gen Tacoma. No gear hunting and transmission fighting.

Gearlock is only on performance (for now) and is activated by the ECT Power button. You push the button and you shift to “s” and you can choose what gear you want to be in. If you leave it in “d” the truck will still upshift like normal but will not downshift

What exactly does 1.05.1 fix? As far as I’m concern Matt said don’t update your truck if you don’t have a stumble issue. I didn't know it makes your trucks shift smoother lol. Btw don’t need seat risers gonna trade this slug as soon as I can.

With gearlocking it will downshift if RPM's drop below 1200 whether you are in D or S mode otherwise you can full WOT in whatever gear you have selected. Not sure about D mode though because I don't drive the truck in D mode any more, also it will unlock the TC when you press far enough on the accellerator pedal which may seem like a downshift.

Yes, I’m running the 87-gear lock for automatic transmission. Unfortunately, I don’t have a push button start.

Similar steps, just that you turn the key as far forward as you can without actually starting the truck. If the AC cuts on you are in the right spot.

Why have a TW account? give me some of what your smoking. That’s like me asking you what are you doing on Tacoma world lol. The point is no one on here can spit facts without getting criticized about their own opinions. Every Tacoma drives different bud.

Your shifting problem was "fixed" by resetting LVs.. for now.
1.05.1 Stumbling was addressed by modifying TC lock sequencing and has nothing to do with your 1 to 3 shifting.
BTW, the fix absolutely did not work on my truck

Still having problems? The only thing I can think of is to ensure you have selected Tactrix OpenPort for the cable and make sure the files match the ECU in your truck.

I hope people do realize that resetting LV on the ECU will cause some abnormal abrupt before while it settles. Happens every time I reset and then runs beautifully about 300 miles later.

You will NOT have good engine behavior right after a reset of LV. It has to adjust all over again

You should try 91 perf and see if that's better. If you fill with 93 you can run any tune, though I imagine the 87 tune would suck. You can def run 91 perf though and see if that suits you better. Could probably fill 60-40 of 93/89 and still use the 91 perf tune.

That's awesome! As always, thank you for everything you're doing!

Quick question: Will the updated performance versions with reduced tip-in be released separately from, and prior to, the 2.0 EROM updates?

this is the opposite for me. truck runs the absolute best right after clearing all learning, then it starts going downhill after that. even happens with the tune. wtf
