I’m getting pretty close to making a purchase on the OVtune. Looks like my best bet is to run 93 base. Is it worth purchasing before 2.0 comes out?

Seems like Mat is pretty busy as it is, and that 2.0 may iron out some of the issues people are having. Maybe my best bet is to wait for a potential Black Friday sale?

Next question: I have 30k on my truck now and I know exactly what issues it has stock. But, has the tune caused anyone to have issues? I’ve seen some issues existing on trucks with the tune but it’s not clear to me whether those issues were present before the tune. I have a slight shudder at low RPMs under load but it doesn’t seem nearly as bad as some people are describing it.

Apologies if these questions have already been asked/answered, I will delete if so.

Having a '16 with approx 45K and the tune for about 6-months I would tell anyone who is unhappy with their stock performance to BUY IT NOW! 2.0 will only make things better. I have run both 93 Perf and now 87 with great success and no new poor behavior. I encourage you to review the thread then spend some cash, it is the best value out of an investment in the truck I have had!

You have all the tunes available for download once you've purchased and registered the software. Also, since you do not currently have the tune, flash 1.05 and not 1.05.1 - Mat stated 1.05.1 is only for those who continued to have issues with torque converter shudder AFTER installing 1.05

That seems to be the consensus. I think it’s time I just do it.

Ok, I gave ECT a try and 'twitchy' is a good word. I still think it is doable though. Just take a little getting used to. I can definitley tell a difference in ECT vs not by a good margin though.

So far, everything is going well though. I know I don't have enough miles for everything to settle and I haven't had it on the interstate yet, but I'd say all is going well so far.

Awesome! Thanks for the info, Mat. I'm definitely interested in the limited public release, or even beta testing, so I'll hit you up on Zendesk when that drops.

Definitely recommend buying it now. It will improve your current driving experience and all future updates are free. So when 2.0 comes out you just download and install. I had a slight shudder on my truck before it was tuned. I can't remember if the TSB fixed it or the tune did. I did both relatively close together and it has been a while now. Drives great now.

Nice avatar, btw. I'm class of '10. Gig 'em.

Somebody let me know what’s up—

Haven’t flashed the truck in 6-7 months, attempting to flash to 1.05 91 Oct performance tune yet none of the files will write via PCMFlash since I’m still a dongle user.. PCMFlash required an update to 1.2 released 7/14, I completed updates- yet the vehicle still won’t write the flash file (performance 1.05 downloaded via flash manager that is found in the download location)

In PCMFLASH —> ECU —> Identification Box, I always get Identification Failure.

None of the 3 locations will write the tune file. And which location is the correct one to write anyways? My options are:
    1. 76F0196/198/199/219 CAN-bus
    2. 76F0196/198/199/219 P5-CAN
    3. 76F0199 Gearbox P5-CAN

Is there yet another new process or program I’m missing here?

I always use option 2. Today I flashed 1.05 93 base, had to purge local data and reinstall everything in order to get it to recognize my dongle.

Current feedback EROM 2.0 is very positive. We will be making some further tweaks based on user feedback and then opening it up to a few more people for further feedback.
    Thanks everyone

Also nearly all tune kit orders are out but it looks like our site didn't auto send some tracking emails,

1.05.1 91 Base is running so damn good I can't imagine what 2.0 could do any better. It's been about 800 miles and the Power plus Fuel economy is crazy awesome. Can any of the Testers give us a little insight as to what the noticeable changes are? (w/2.0)

The testers will have agreed to not disclose publicly that they are testing 2.0 nor to share any of their findings with any forum such as TW.

2.0 will be released when it’s ready. We’ll just have to be patient.
