    For Auto vehicles-
we now have the maps that control shift condition for RPM and vehicle speed which dictates when an upshift will occur for all gears based on vehicle speed and learn mode.

We will finely tune shifting for every gears upshift before release.

There are 20 different set shift points for each gear 1 - 5. (100 variations of shifting)

Sure is one complicated ECU. I commend you on your dedication to this programming challenge.

These shift points sound complicated, going to be difficult to please everyone with it

We landed people on the moon with processor as powerful as a pocket calculator. Blows my mind we need 100 maps to shift our tacos.

Really hope OVT can figure this mess out

I been lurking since page 1. Thank you to all the early adopters and OVT for all your hard work. That bit about 100 variations in shifting I do believe is the core of the problem. I was wondering what was happening with the shifting and I tried many different things to figure out what it was and now I think that's the ticket. I have a very consistent drive to work. 30 miles each way, same time every time. Mpg differences would be noted and I have kept track of highs and lows in mileage and shifting differences. I was thinking sometimes my numbers may have changed due to slight variation in traffic or wind but now it. Asked much more sense. I will definitely be ordering, just waiting on some funds to free up. Early Christmas present To myself. Thanks again OVT and the Tacoma community for making all of this happen.

Edit: I live at 3000 ft elevation and work near sea level. Mostly highway lots of coasting and light throttle going to work, medium throttle going home. I do drive like a granny unless off-road. 30 mile drive consisten drive time of 43 minutes. To work low of 31 high 38. Return home low 13.8 high of 16.7mpg.

It's no different than trying to please everyone with how aggressive the engine tunes can be dialed in. That's what ECT button is for, for those who need to hold out gears longer like those that tow heavy or use lots of hills.

In addition, I could see maybe "profiles" you can pick from. Mat could just do a "refinement", "towing", "track (for lack of better term)" levels of shift points that you can request. Or heck, we get a copy of all 3 and you just flash to your heart's content.

I can say with certainty after being apart of this thread alone I'm about 145% glad I have a Manual. These auto trucks sound like the devil!

We have a guy who has full control over the transmission. I think giving @OVTune some time... we'll have this truck dialed in perfectly.

Crazy... we're in Tennessee and, at least in Metro Nashville, ALL vehicles have to be checked annually. I transferred my tags over to save a few $ and that meant I had a 4 month old truck getting smog checks. ha... glad it passed given the CKP issues I was having at the time.
